This was one of the most informative basic lesson I've seen. Your instructions were very concise and gave good detail regarding the size of the foot, use of spacing gauge, and rulers.
Fantastic teacher !!! Thank you for your videos.... my learning begins.. yayyyy for getting back to quilting and doing more than stitch in the ditch 🙃 lol
Are there printable directions for each block (like this one ) of what size on the gauge for each corner you need and how far down to travel, etc? I know we can re watch the video but sometimes its just easier to look at the directions for Step 3 and then Step 4 rather than play, pause, play and pause. Loving this series and learning so much.
Loving this series; you are a great teacher! Do you have any tips for controlling the speed of stitching while working with rulers? I have a 770QE and using foot control; is there an easier way?
You can download the fabric requirements, and monthly cutting directions from this video...there is a link in the description portion of the video. The pattern directions themselves are verbal/visual. I show each block in a series of videos!
I took a class at a sewing center and I really appreciate the information you are sharing it is super helpful.
This is excellent!

Hi Cindi….Unfortunately, there are no written instructions. I tried to write some myself, but they were really hard to understand, so I gave up!
I don’t have my feed dogs down. Maybe it depends on the machine you are using. Once the glider/ slider is in place, the feed dogs are covered.
Over time, you will chew up your glider with friction from the feed dogs rubbing on the bottom of it. You might want to lower them.
Thank you very much for doing this series. Your instruction is excellent! Is the ruler work series completed?
There are 6 more blocks to be posted!

Set your speed slider about half speed, then floor it with your foot pedal. That way you can focus on your hand speed!
See what Quilting Delights is offering. Attachments for your BSR to use with 1/4” depth rulers
For ruler work, you must use a quilting needle. If regular quilting you use a microtex needle is that correct? Thank you
That’s correct!
Where do I get the glider
I love the quilt in the background with the flying geese and travel trailer. Is there a pattern for this? Thank you for the informative video.
Howdy! That was a kit....unfortunately sold out. The pattern came with the kits😔
Is it true that you need to lower the pressure on your pressure foot to -3 when doing ruler work?
I have never done so!
Thanks Lisa. I found them
If you were not working so did not need to show your work for the class what weight of thread do you usually use as a standard?
I use a 50 weight!
Where do we get the pattern you are working from? What is the name of it? Is it a Sew Steady pattern?
