derbystardom That would be really cool. Do you recall a HnO album "War Babies"? If not, pull it up. Todd produced it. Many of his influences are there. '73 or 4 I think, not sure.
White Knight is a recent album by Todd with alot of talent on it. Daryl and him have been friends since 1974. Dream come true for their fans to see them reunite for this.💯❤
Great song from 2 Soul Brother's ! Marvin is Groovin to this Classic. Love the modulation in the Sax solo an then back to starting key, A genius move, like Marvin would do. Just saying thanks!
Todd and Daryl have always been solid musicians and vocalists throughout their career. They also have that cool inspirational R&B/soul vibe from their hometown, where they both grew up. The back up vocals are also solid, along with the arrangements of this song. Great song that will stand the test of time, like many they both have created in their incredible careers. Cheers.
It was one of the hits in the show. Saw it last night, and Todd really made it happen. For me, it's kind of a cross of I Saw the Light, and Love Of the Common Man, with some techno-instrumentation thrown in for good measure. Give "White Knight" about a dozen listens, and you'll be in love wit this.
Dr. Todd and his fabulous band featuring Prairie Prince - drums, Kasim Sulton - bass, Greg Hawkes - keys, Jesse Gress - guitar, Bobby Strickland - sax, The Global Girls - backup vocals and Philly buddy Daryl Hall with a great cut from Todd's new album White Knight! A good feelin' Summery song. Nice!
Omg look at Daryl Hall! Looking great back then. Didn't know these two even sang together. Lovely song! Learning so much from the hubby, lol. Seen Todd Rundgren in concert recently! It was great!
The 2 Genius Men! Band kicked ass. Background Singers, gorgeous & dynamite! And YOUR DRUMMER, damnnnn! OK # NOLALOVE The both of you give me chills! ⚜️💕💝
One of the most memorable shows I've ever played in my 40 plus years as a Drummer was at Sand Harbor Amphitheater, Lake Tahoe, NV. 1989. Our Horn section consisted of Bobby Strickland, Joel Edwards, and, Mike Rose. Unreal players, all of them.
@@TheDerekeder Todd's assessment was correct because Kas did in fact quit out on the road during his first Utopia tour over in Europe. Kas stated this himself in an interview a few years ago. He said that Todd was patient with him and talked him into sticking it out. The rest, they say, is history.
So good. I know Todd and Daryl are singing live and the sax is live. The rest is pre-recorded but it’s still good to see Jesse and everybody else. What a great song.
OK last 4 bars reveals yes that there is a backing track - and if Todd sat in the suite and mixed live sound & pix over the existing music (meaning lip-sync required, as much as possible on the filmed take) )then it's IMO totally legit - Same thing Todd has been doing since Midnight Special (with a Revox reel-to-reel?) and that crazy 1977 video All The Children Sing Another intentional give-away is using both sax solo performances - Strickland gets quite close in the filmed take & thus the audio pullis out fo phase - a great effect I bet Todd enjoyed - if he didn't actually instruct it.
Very good. Maybe now with White Knight, Todd can rack up fans who normally don't follow his music. I didn't expect an album like it. Glad he did the collaboration route.
@@thetruthissweet2847 That's great! I realize that Todd probably doesn't care too much about that but I would love for him to get the recognition he deserves and it will also expose his music to a wider audience hopefully! All the best.

I really like the new album. This song is up there for my favorite song on it. It reminds me a lot of the style on Nearly Human and Second Wind and THAT'S A GOOD THING! :)
Wow 🤩 wow 🤩 wow!!! soooooo happy i’ve come across this!!!!! absolutely love this song and never seen a live version!!!! Kasim is the bomb and Todd is amazing as always! Right but Todd is doing it on his current tour - The Chivalrock Tour - and it sounds great live too. I'm seeing that show for the second time in South Bend, IN on 6/6.
Kasim's backing vocals are always spot on, adding more depth to the sound. And he's so great on his own too... a talented multi-instrumentalist and vocalist. I can barely chew gum and walk at the same time...lol
Two close Philly bros from a different mother. Talking with their hands. Amazing
Quite simply, Todd Rundgren is a titan in the rock music scene of the last fifty years !
This is so great, watching two friends having such a good time with one of Todd's songs.
I love this song! I wish Hall and Rundgren would make an entire album!
Amen
Look up "War Babies", a 1974 album Hall - Oates - Rundgren.

Not bad for 2 men in their 70s. Still great after all these years. But they have been friends since 1974. Todd was on War Babies album back then.
A ton a ungodly gifted collective talent.

Their music will never die. More importantly, even though their music had been changed, their types of music from then to now will live forever.
This song -- and this whole album -- gets better with every listen. Rundgren's best since Hermit of Mink Hollow.
Liars is my favorite!
Absolutely fabulous!
Those two are awesome musicians!!
ANOTHER new CLASSIC off this great album.
This is a light in the music darkness Todd and Daryl should do a full album together !
