Those employee surveys are always more favorable to the manager/company than actual perception. Most employees don’t trust the anonymity of the survey.
I answered "anonymous" employee survey honestly, and a few weeks later, my manager asked me specifically regarding something I wrote in the survey. Though it did not ask for my name, it was probably linked to my work computer IP address.
I'm the boss of around 20 employees at my plant. I'm pretty laid back, understanding, and I'll work right next to them-short handed, because I have to. I'm pumped and ready to go in the mornings. I have no one that is influential, positive or motivated. So I pretty much keep my distance.
The primary skill set required to go into to management has more to do with ass-kissing those above you than successfully coaching and guiding those below you. I am thankfully self-employed now, but my recollection of corporate life is that the most mediocre people in any given company are going to be people in middle management.
U know what I have a position that doesn’t require a degree but the ppl that interviewed me all respected I had a degree and I felt that’s what tipped the scale in my favor to get the job over all the ppl in that office that were there before me and I come out of nowhere and grab the spot Now that I know everyone I see my degree made a difference but wasn’t required
I work for a very very large company that everyone has heard of. They do anonymous surveys where the first question is.......what is your employee number?
Dude I'm a senior master tech top of my game 25 years old and great support from my family making what I thought was good money 80k and I can't even dream of owning a house having a kid. I'm debt free dude I'm living in my means the older generation has already made it. My pay check pays for insurance, food, rent and what I'm saving is for my baby on the way driving pos car with Holes in the floor. You have no idea how bad it is for us younger people. Rent is through the roof like this can't stay this way we can not afford life not toys LIFE.
@@ds3602 And the number of ppl (in the U.S.) that utilize a cheap motorcycle as their primary transportation is a minority, so the likelihood that this dude just happens to be part of that extremely small outlying group is unlikely, and it's far more likely that it's just a toy he has all while whining and crying on the internet about being broke rather than changing his situation.
They just refuse to give meaningful raises. Worked my ASS off for 3 years with no raise. I mean like putting in 60 hours a week, doing it ALL. Finally after then I asked for a 25% raise to get me more inline with what people in my IT field make. They gave me 3% raise instead, now they wonder why my effort has dropped and my engagement.
My boss talks over me in meetings with his boss all the time. And he isn’t always honest in explaining things going on in meetings because he doesn’t want to look dumb and uniformed in front of his boss when I’m explaining problems to the big boss, which I’ve told my boss about multiple times, which never get resolved because my boss has too many employees reporting to him; and he is in meetings all day instead of actually being boots on the ground to see what is going on.
Four years out of college, she may be pushing 30. People late 20s early 30s have not traditionally bought houses in this country? Most women are having babies living in houses in their mid to late 20s, traditionally.

I agree. Although 3 years ago I started being very honest in mine. So far no retaliation and I’ve been promoted twice.

I have phenomenal management but I know I am very lucky to be able to say that.

People don’t quit companies. They quit bosses

You just need to move somewhere else. I make 1/3 of that and own a house with a little debt from student loans.
I’ll bet you bought the home prior to Covid price hikes
Crazy how hard up this guy is while riding a motorcycle in his profile pic😂😂
They cost less than a car as a means of transportation. You can get them for like two grand in great shape.
