Little Gary looks so kindly at you. He knows you have saved him. Gary is a pretty now that you took him. I want to know what the vet says. I think Gary got on the highway and was hit by a vehicle, was put back in the pasture by his elderly owner.. you found him in the woods, loss wt, hungry, thirsty.. could hardly even get up. He sure is healthier now.

If by a car, the owner might have seen him in a bad condition and no longer useful to him OR in either scenario, once he heard Lester tell him where his bull was and his injury he thought oh shit, nope don't want him and was happy when Lester offered Money for him because that farmer didn't want to take Gary back
I've seen RUclips videos where cows have prostethics (braces) to help with legs and hips; not sure if this would be feasilble for Gary but just thought I would pass along the idea. It's called Petsthetics which Texas A&M is involved in.
Yes, I've seen those as well. I've also seen where one had a bad spinal cord injury and couldn't take a step let alone stand. With care and time, she healed and now runs to her human parents every time she sees them.
That's what I was going to say for sure. They can help little Gary if he's healthy enough and they have to operate. They can put his leg in a cast. He would have to stay in the dry lot until he got better. I've seen it done with horses. Don't know what it cost, but I'm sure we would all help like we did the last time.

Gary captured all of our hearts the second you found him in the woods. He grew that hold on our hearts that much deeper, when he so bravely fought through every single second of his days to grow stronger and healthier. Giving up, was never in Gary’s plans. I remember him weak and sickly walking, limping and struggling really, up to the pen to eat every day. I pray that the news will be that Gary can and will live a satisfactory life. That his injury can be managed. It would break my heart to have to say goodbye to Gary, but at the same time, I couldn’t be so selfish as to want him to stay here with us, if his life will be endless tomorrow’s of agony or pain. I know we can release him from that and go to a place, where there’s no pain, no injury to hold him back and Gary can run free in shimmering meadows and fields of green. Never in the world did I think I would ever have tears fall for a little injured baby bull nursed back from the edge - but Gary has grabbed a special place in my heart and it’s painful to think that perhaps being kind to him, will be so darn hard on the heart. I’m going to send positive thoughts for Gary’s vet visit tomorrow and Lester thank you for finding a vet for large animals and promising to do the right thing for Gary - whatever the vet says that might be….💕🙏

I don't know if putting Gary through major interventions would be in his best interest, I agree Lester, you have given him shelter, full belly and love. Having evaluation of his pain levels and where he is at physically is a honorable way to love him and provide him the best care ...even if it's last acts of kindness. Crossing my fingers and trusting you and the vet to be able to evaluate his future.

Please that is the right thing Lester, to take Gary out of the bull pasture. Sure Waylon likes to play with Gary but it's not helping with Gary's leg injury and (jmo) I believe has made it worse. Having 2 strong bulls to contend with while injured has to be rough on poor Gary. Lester has said that when he had him with the girls that Tex and Waylon kept breaking out to get to the girls because they were afraid that Little Gary was "getting with" their girls. It's not that simple.
Neither one of the bulls have done anything mean to LG 🙄 Waylon and tex have been very gentle and respectful to LG Lester will do what he feels is best and already has plans for LG granted they may have to make new ones after the vet visit but for now he is completely fine where he's at
Lester, in my opinion, Gary's life before was hungry & lonely. You gave him a life of companionship & food. He is just like any other kind of disabled fur baby. They learn to adapt to their disabilities. He is growing up big & strong for his handicap. ❤❤ pain meds are good. Too bad he can't have a leg brace 😂😂❤❤.

I’m waiting in anticipation to see what the vet says about Gary. To me it looks like part of it is nerve injury. He eats and drinks so I think that is a positive. It would be hard to do bracing etc even if that would work on an untamed animal. That would be a pretty good name for her she that has not been named lol

Wizard of Paws has done prosthetics for Elephants so Gary is not too big for some sort of brace to help him walk

Lester, appreciate the love you have for Gary. I know that you have not thought about this as just a passing thought. What ever the outcome, Gary had the best 9 months anyone could have hoped for given the shape you found him in. We love you Gary and continue to send prayers your way
I’m waiting in anticipation to see what the vet says about Gary. To me it looks like part of it is nerve injury. He eats and drinks so I think that is a positive. It would be hard to do bracing etc even if that would work on an untamed animal. That would be a pretty good name for her she that has not been named lol
You know the cost will be split up among us Gary lovers. I thank he’s happy and eats well so I don’t think he suffers a lot.
