I play this riff using a ProCo Rat 2 pedal. so badass =P If you wanted to go slightly deeper into Nirvana's tone for this song, on the clean sections Kurt is playing with a Chorus effect. not a thick effect like what you hear on Come as you are, with this song it's just a very subtle chorus chime. Blends in really nicely =)
