Just wonderful, I have been researching "constipation" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Qaneah Neynna Takeover - (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my co-worker got excellent results with it.

Here is what helps me loosen that shit up and go:
1. Coffee
2. Water
3. And if I feel constipated at night, it will usually just fall out the next morning.

maybe part of the reason people hold in the poo is because of a thing called rhypohopia(the fear to use the bathroom) and it's hard to get rid of too.

I was tortured by my parents my entire childhood because of this. Now, I have C-PTSD. My life was ruined.

@@scumcrust Physically and emotionally for long periods of time. There was tremendous stress and abuse in the house. This aggravated the encopresis which then in turn aggravated the abuse. It was symbiotic almost. This was the 80's. No one gave a damn about mental health or child abuse so this added to it too. Both my parents were covert narcissists. This added to it. I am highly sensitive. This added to it. If you must know, they rubbed poop in my face, isolated me in closets, beat me endlessly, ridiculed me endlessly, my sister molested me which was the catalyst for the onset of encopresis. Then I lived my life into my mid 40s untreated and insane full of years of compounded problems and deficits. It wasn't until 2016 that I even heard the word encopresis. I knew then it wasn't my fault, but my life was ruined anyhow. It was the perfect storm to create a brain damaged lunatic from birth by means of endless marinating in all types of abuse and torture. My advice to you? Just be patient. The kid will get older and learn by itself that people don't soil their pants willingly. My secret was exposed to my friends...that's when I stopped. I was 9 or 10. It may be a long time. But it will stop. It's not worth ruining your child's life over. Don't yell, don't name call, don't belittle...just use a reward system. Use the potty? Get candy. Honestly...there's no other way and there's nothing you can do about it. It'll stop one day. Just let it go. Be a good parent.
update...my niece overcame encopresis...she is 9. no abuse.

Thanks for posting this! My 8 year old autistic son has had problems with constipation pretty much since age 1. I have explained to him why holding in the poop makes it worse but he just didn't get it! I was hoping to find an animation of what was going on in his body and it seems like this video has flipped a switch on for him! Here's hoping that we can get things running smoothly soon!

My 13 yr old autistic son still holds it all day until he gets home and then he goes in his pants. It's a control issue the dr said and he is the only one who can fix it. I feel your pain. This problem is a very terrible one and no one understands and we all feel ashamed by it and it's because no one gets it. This video is a great tool I think we all should have seen a long time ago
michele klous My son went through the same thing Michele. The doc said he was holding it because it was "the only thing he could control" at his young age. This was over 20 years ago, and we didn't know then that he was autistic. Back then, they just blamed the parents. :(

My son is not autistic and he does it. He doesn’t want to miss out and thinks pooing takes too long so holds and it snowballs from there. This video has really seemed to resinate though - he asked me to pause it so he could go and poo and is now eating some fruit so he can try again after eating. Fingers crossed!

i got constipated when i was thirthteen, i couldn't go to the toilet for a month at first (i still don't get how) and i always clogged the toilet of my house everytime, my mom noticed how less i was going and they got me to the doctor, later i went every fifthteen days, right now i go every two or three days and my stomach hurts when it's being three days.

I remember being in the children's hospital because of this I was severely allergic to gluten and well... You know what- So my pediatrician made me watch this if I'm being honest I was only around five and this was one of the most painful parts of my life. always in hospital and in pain because it made my stomach hurt I'm just glad that it's all over with it may sound gross maybe even funny but it's true lol
