With Rally Belgium set to make its debut on the WRC calendar, there’s no better time to take a look at the career of one of the country’s most famous rallying exports: Thierry Neuville.
Though he didn’t enter his first rally until he was 19, since making his WRC debut in 2009 he’s consistently been a contender for stage wins, rallies, and even the overall title. So let’s cast our eyes back over his career so far, and take a look at Neuville’s evolution in the WRC.

Не тот силен кто не упал, а тот кто падал и вставал!
Красава ваще!!!
누빌선수 현대팀에서 오래 있어서 좋음!
Un fenómeno Neuvill
It's like history always repeats itself. He reminds me more like Latvala
Come on Thierry!!!
Crazyyyyyyy 😊❤❤❤
Go get 'em Thierry! 🤘🤘
Beer in the radiator? That’s awesome! Are WRC cars usually that front heavy? The Hyundai does a big nosedive on every jump.
No, they are designed to land on 4 wheels to utilize the maximum suspension travel thus getting on the gas faster and gaining time. But what matters most is how you come onto the jump. Not sure even myself how it works but usually they brake just before the jump so they don't fly as high and let off the brake just before any of the wheels are off the ground. Also any aerodynamical damage may affect the balance in big ways. Search "Petter Solberg subaru jump" there he took out his rear wing before the jump and the car became front heavy in the jump.
Novikov's jump in finald is extreme example of back heavy landing. Not sure of the reason but i think he came in too fast and the air got under the car floor so the front of the car got lifted up. People are free to correct me if i'm wrong
Beer in rad doesn't matter along as its a liquid also coca cola in the clutch to give the plate grip was used before
@@BALANCEBF I managed to have an interview with Jari-Matti Latvala during his VW days. The method you describe is correct - braking just before the jump and then releasing the brakes just before the crest. This compresses the suspension, and if you time the release right, the suspension extends again just as the car takes off. This then pushes the nose up and ensures the car flies and stays level over the jump. Reason for this is that it's always better for the car to land on all four wheels rather than have only two dampers absorbing all the load. Also, landing on fours is more comfortable for the crew as well.

@@BALANCEBF they use handbrake to steer the car in the air, FACTS🙄
Well I think they have less wing or downforce on the rear of the car
And due to engine in front it might also be a reason
He reminds me of Andrea Dovizioso. Not the looks, but his career....
Gooooooooooo
Good one
When the narrator said Ha-yun-dai. Koreans raising their eye brows. 😂
HE STRONG IN TARMAC STAGE
He should get a title for the best crashes on the wrc. He sure knows how to wreck them.
Just like Ott
That is for Meeke I guess? lol
flying doc
Beer in rad > belgian style
go hyundai!
What is the glasses
I like i 20
Just copy and paste from the WRC channel, other narrator.
Why Citroen is no more in JWRC?
I think it'll be hard for him to grab a title now especially when there's the rising star Rovanpera and Formaux.
formaux??? xD
Any specific reason why rally drivers don't use full integral helmets like every other motorsport class that I know of? Seems needlessly dangerous to me.
Damn it, get your pronunciations correctly, it's simply "Hun-day", not "High-yung-dye".
No it's not.. the correct pronounciation is "hyun deh"
The background music isn’t, junked another video 👎👎👎👎💩
But unfortunately he will never win a WRC title.
Like MÄKINEN said. Truly looking so!!
@@HangingAround0 Neuville is a great driver, but the title fight requires that something extra that he doesn't have atm.
@@j.s.p a good car, last 5 year champions have been toyota, hyundai and ford are not reliable
Neuville is good but Toyota has upped their ante in a better car and 2 exceptionally good drivers of veteran Ogier and rising Kale. Good luck Thierry 👉🤙
