GSB means Gowd Saraswat Brahmins. GSB's were originally vegetarian when they migrated to India as Aryans. They settled along the banks of Saraswati river in Goud Bengal....present day West Bengal. Hence the name Goud Saraswat Brahmins. When a severe famine struck the region for several years and they couldn't get or grow food to eat, out of necessity to survive, they had to resort to fishing in the rivers. That is when they started consuming seafood. This is why we are non veg consuming brahmins.
