I don't know if it's an age gap thing but there is definitely a big difference in the stuff people closer to 30 find funny and people closer to 20. Memes used to be very structured and conventional with a punchline but now they're a bit boring or unfunny if they don't catch you off guard or you can see the punchline coming.

@@ohyeaman1196 Yeah which is why I said I guess it can't be an age thing, just people I personally have met who are closer to 20 or to 30 like one type or the other but there are exceptions
