Probably about 60,000 years ago, some guy found a horse the let him get on top! As big a wonder as that, a few days later he came to another guy riding a horse! And the race was on! Horses, chariots, galleys, rowboats, to jet planes, all of them get fed the beans and let loose! Coming from military air, especially naval air, gave you a great set of habits and tools to make the 907 boat a success. You got up, you go do crazy things, you come home and right a report about it, check with your plane captain, write some more- which gives you a great tool to perfect your boat today. And it can always be better- even that Sprintec! Thanks for the insight.
Think another aspect y’all left out, especially for the amount of fabrication, maintenance, modifications, and innovations, that you do yourself, is the pride of accomplishment. Thanks for sharing…
The sport is gaining popularity, and I can see you being on the leading edge. You've got the heart and personality to be the cleetus of sprintboats. 💪 Enjoy the content, keep it coming.
Great commentary! My first ride created an adrenaline addiction, but the camaraderie among the racers and teams keeps me coming back. And, somebody has to feed Phil Miller!😂
I'm doing something totally unrelated with my channel but I wanted to share, don't overlook simply asking your supporters for direct donations, and also setting up a patreon page for your channel. I've been blown away how much support for what I am doing I get via a paypal link off my webpage. I'd rather send ya $20 than buy merch I don't really want and you only get a few bucks from. I'm sure some of the super popular folks like Cleeter make a lot off merch, but I'm not sure us little folks have that same draw. It won' hurt anything to try! And yeah, years ago I raced open class 2 stroke Karts for most of the same reasons you stated in this video, I was spending easily 40K a year, no prize money at all and that was in the 1980's lol.
Thanks for the insight into your world. I think a lot of younger racers could learn a lot from your attitude. You're a real good bloke. I would love to buy some merch, but can understand why you don't do international shipping. Will you be bringing any to NZ?
I appreciate your order, just saw it. I’m out of town til Sunday, will ship it Monday. I’ll throw a sticker in for taking so long 🤣. Kinda hard to avoid with my work but oh well
A while back the guy in a busy the control tower asked me to call Uniform Sierra when I got my plane parked and put away for the night. I scratched my head for a bit wondering what he meant by Uniform Sierra then in dawned on me. OHHHH call us, meaning call him in the tower. Now I fly a plane that is basically a clown car with wings. It is challenging to fly at the best of times; he was mad that I kept making S turns in the circuit and he had me go around on final because he did not like what I was doing. He figured I could not control my plane and that I just might veer off into oncoming traffic... The next time around I was getting fuel critical and he asked me to do a 360 to which I replied unable. Well I landed and made S turns the whole way down the taxiway too. I went to visit him in the town instead of a calling. He asked me if I was OK up there. I laughed because I knew he did not get what I was doing. I told him that he placed me fairly close behind a 172 and I cannot see even in the slightest what is in front of me when I am slow, and for me slow is almost twice the speed of a 172 so I am constantly making S turns so I can see where that plane is and so I can keep some space between us and at that speed my plane risks snap rolling or spinning with the slightest amount of rough control inputs. There was a bunch more to this story but....... This goes to your question of why would you race, he asked me why I would want to fly something like that. I simply replied --> Because I do not knit.
Come on Maverick, I mean Eric! We all know that it is the Top Gun Deal! I feel the need, the need for speed! So glad you enjoy the competition and camaraderie as well. Thanks for sharing this! I'm sure that you Thank The Good Lord Above every day that you have the resources to support your habit. By the way, what was your call sign when you were a Navy Pilot? As Always, May God Bless you and yours! 😇
Why and what it costs seems to be the same for dirt, asphalt, and water. Only difference I see is you dont seem to be under a monopolized control for one particular consumable. Something us car guys are facing is what we have started calling the "Purple Mafia" aka Hoosier tires. They have deals with all the sanctioning bodies and we are forced to buy terrible tires and super inflated prices. Literally over double of what should be a competitor. It takes 3 sets of tires to run one show. If you do the math and divide the cost of freshening a race engine by the laps it can run between that freshening. And figure up fuel, oil, maintainance, and everything for a show our biggest cost is tires. Driving guys like me away from what i love to do. Been doing this stuff since i was a teenager. Im 46 and about to give up. Wishing there was places to do what yall do around here. I'd definitely be in.
The weather has been absolutely horrible! Yes it will return. In the meantime, I plan on doing some videos from the airline side of the aviation world. Stay tuned. 🤙

Really enjoy the channel..Thanks for the breakdown, and thanks for your service, Eric! I guess a race boat is a natural step from an F/A-18..

It feels odd asking for donations but I get your point
Thank you for protecting my freedom!
Appreciate you saying that!
When we were doing sprint cars it wasn't the money it was a challenge to make myself better and better to compete and be competitive

Where did the flying content go, and are we expecting to see anymore come back to the channel? Loved that rocket you were flying around!

True
i tried to visit the site and there was an error... maybe check and make sure its all good. i would definitely like a hat and possibly a hoodie.
Thanks for the heads up. It should be fixed now. There was an administrative issue with the domain.
OK OK, thanks for the merch dump but are you not shipping to Canada, eh? I just tried placing my order and can't input an international address...
Working on it!
Awesome
🤙
must be getting close to the kiwi trip
January 20th!
Sprint boats look like one of the most intense things a person can do. A person could probably make a few bucks just taking people for rides.
Lol right?
I have been blasting small bayous and while not exactly the same I get the rush. How much does it cost? Simple speed cost how fast do you want to go.
For sure 🤙
this should help you a lot
🤙
Woohoo!!
🤙
Want to know how to get 1 million dollars. Take 2 million and go racing.
Truth!
