Matey, loved that to be fair. The concept, the video, everything. That bokeh and separation at 5.6 (which is more like 11 on a crop sensor) is outstanding when at that almost 500mm focal length. I’m super tempted to do something similar sir…..heads off to eBay.
@@migranthawker2952 yeah I get that, but it’s 300mm cropped to roughly the equivalent of 500mm, must not have been clear. Also, like I said it’s 5,6 lens, with on the Crop sensor that’s more like F11, still looks like a good bokeh and separation that’s the point. Cheers
I had a 7D coming which I got for $190 (I live abroad at the moment), but Dominican customs have taken a shine to it, so I doubt I'll ever see it and I'll be stuck with my T2i for quite a while to come yet. I was itching to try it after watching your videos. Keep them coming, mate :)
Thanks for commenting Carl. Hope you get your camera through - that sounds like a rough deal over there. T2i that’s the 550D over here isn’t it? That’s not a bad camera to be fair. The little rebel cameras are underrated in my opinion.
Hi Chris love all your videos about the 1D Mark III. I want to buy one, think it’s a pretty good camera for the price, off MPB UK. I also have about 180-200GBP to spend on lens(es). I am looking at the Tamron EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di VC USD. Only thing with this is it would take up my whole lens budget and as I also enjoy landscape and street photography as well as bird, I’m wondering if you’d recommend me this or to get something like the Canon EF 20-35mm f/3.5-4.5 USM or equivalent AND a cheaper telephoto. Any thoughts?
I’ve also seen you use a tele lens quite often for landscapes? I have done this with my current camera but I’m not sure if it would be too limiting for landscape and street. Like to go hiking too. Just not sure what to do with the small budget I have…
@@ChrisBaitsonPhotoNot sure you’re right cause canon’s is so soft at wide open but I don’t know what aperture did you use for shoot birds in this video)
have 760D mostly combined with Canon EF 70-300 IS2 USM F4-5,6.. i just cannot reach that crispiness in photos.. just as seen in your video. Iwill have o give a goo cleaning of the camera, but i doubt it will help.. Or am i just doing something wrong that i still have that haziness?
The 7D and 5D mkii are the two absolute bargain camera bodies that are still completely capable at a pro level even today. Good video too :)
It's the skills, not just the gear. Brill pics man.
love the shutter of the 7d, i would also say the 500d is a good cam. you can get it on mpb for cheap
Well done, totally a refreshing video
No mention of the Z8 and great results.
Brings back memories.

It was good fun but the lens isn’t all that great. I think I’m going to save and buy one of the big boy Canon lenses later in the year.
It's not 500mm - it's simply cropped 300mm!!!!

nice work sir

@@ChrisBaitsonPhoto I agree, I have some reasonable photographs taken with it and a 55-250mm STM lens. I'm also following you on instagram.

You got email address so I can talk to you on there please
Yeah if you go to my channels about page on desktop my email address will show. Otherwise instagram DM
Which is good 75 300mm Canon or 70 300mm Sigma?
I’d pick up the Canon.

Tnx 💓❤️
Welcome 🙏🏻
Sigma DG 70-300 has a very unreliable autofocus drive. It is better to choose a different lens.
this lens do chromatic aboration .. but the DG i have amazing for macro
Way you donat youth grip?
I don’t feel the need for them really.
hows the focusing of this lens.?
Slow and noisy. I sold the lens the very next day.
7d for 180!
Yeah nice and cheap these days. Can probably find one for less now.
@@ChrisBaitsonPhoto Cool, I gotta start searching
Something else to consider is the EF 80-200mm F/2.8 L
A cracking lens for the money.
Been looking at one. A lot cheaper than the 70-200 that’s for sure.

Check your shutter speed. Make sure you’re at or double your shutter speed. So 300mm 1/400th as a minimum. Hope this helps.
@@ChrisBaitsonPhotoAnd also if almost everything is soft just try to shoot with f>5.6
Shutter speed 1/1000 minimum
I ALSO BUY SECOND HAND ..SOME OF MY LENSES WERE SECOND HAND AND FOUND IT A MONEY SAVER .
Yeah I’ve found it to be a great way into gear I’d never be able to have afforded otherwise.
@@ChrisBaitsonPhoto you right neither would I....new lenses are hefty to the pocket .
I had a 7D. Big disappointment - very poor quality images, got rid of it pretty quick!!
you are everywhere!
The shit music is a distraction. Dump it.
Not on your say so Princess. X
I actually enjoyed the music (and your review). Eh, each to their own.
Haha thanks Man
Music is class… ignore that dude
The music is good!
