Yes You are correct but this video doesn't represent his entire thinking, it is just part of it. Meet him personally his thinking is beyond what you are emphasizing
IAAS has much faster promotion than IRS,IPS IFS...its at par with IAS ...He might be a great teacher but this video has some misleading points. A lot of it
The work profile matters much more than the pace of promotions yk? Agar CSE jaise exam ke liye aap appear kr rhe ho toh it wouldn't make much sense ki aap audit ka profile lo kyuki the someone doing audit in corporate starting as low as 6LPA would have a much greater career graph compared to someone in Audit service or some other such profile. I hope this makes sense!
Okay, let me clear a few things for you. The promotion of IAAS Officers are at par with IAS only up to the rank of Joint Secretaries. Above that, they face the same stagnation. Secondly, getting salary of a Joint Secretary and getting empanelled as Joint Secretaries are two different things. There are 1000s of Officers who get salary of a Joint Secretary I.e. Grade Pay 10000, but majority of them are not empanelled as JSs. So, there is where the supremacy of IAS comes in. Also, there is something known as public perception and actual reality. People may consider Director CBI as a large than life post, but Director CBI usually gets dictated by the Secretary and Additional Secretary of DoPT (Majority of the Indians won’t be even knowing that there is a department such as DoPT). So, what this teacher said is more or less correct.
What is so special in being a joint secretary?Do they possess any sort of super power or do they get some special privileges? Most of the IA&AS officers would not even like to be empanelled as joint secretaries. The office of Accountant General of a state makes much more sense to them than being posted as a joint secretary in some random ministry in New Delhi. Similarly,Why would an Indian Foreign Service officer would like to be empanelled as a joint secretary?Lol.He would be an ambassador to some smaller countries at that level of seniority and i expect you know that the kind of salary and perks that an ambassador get is something that an IAS officer working as a joint secretary can only dream of. In fact, most of the officers don't want to come to New Delhi on deputation because the perks and facilities that that they get in their States are severely diminished.@@Amit3019jh
@@Amit3019jhThere is nothing great in being empanelled as a joint secretary. As far as IA&AS officers are concerned, most of them wouldn't even want to get themselves empanelled as a joint secretary. The reality is that most of the officers don't even want to come on central deputation at New Delhi because the kind of perks and facilities that they get in their states are severely diminished. Only those officers want to come to Delhi who have some kind of family urgency or they are sidelined by the government in their state. IAS is a good service but nowhere near the hype these coaching institutions have made them to be.
In India people place IAS as gods like they are everything😂

Absolutely. Every service offers its own challenges and rewards. It’s good to research well and choose a service that aligns with your aspirations!
