Like, for example: Gary travelling with Ash in Hoenn and possibly Sinnoh, with Paul travelling with him through Unova, Tripp through Kalos, and Alain through Alola.
Not really the best idea from a writing standpoint, but still something that could be very interesting if done right.

Actually, I can see Dawn’s return to Alola being a three-parter:
* One episode with being your description in the video
* One episode where Dawn joins the Ultra Guardians on an Ultra Beast mission
* One episode with the mock contest (though it could also just take place at the school) with the final battle being Dawn vs either Ash or Lillie (since this could a similar development episode like the sledding one)

there is a big difference: may is a girl that didn''t have a purpose- hell she didn't even LIKE pokemon starting out! she figured that out while traveling with ash. if anything may is more similar to serena.
DAWN though, is a girl that had her sights on her goal since day 1. she was going to become top coordinator, and even had a bit of preperation beforehand, whith her mom being a retired coordinator and all. but it dodn't go as well as she thought. she overcame that though woth ash's help

I hate it when people say she's a copy of May. All they're looking at is the fact that they're both pokemon coordinators which, I'll be honest, when the concept was introduced, it was not that interesting. Seeing pokemon combine many of their moves into different attacks and patterns to take down their opponents; I liked seeing that and I wanted to see more of that, in Ash's BATTLES, *NOT* the contests. I felt they were too much of a distraction from what was supposed to be the focus of the series, Ash. With Dawn however, Both she and Ash would learn and benefit from each other's tactics, thus growing into better trainers, so the contests didn't come off as intrusive. It's also important to note that she went through a lot of the same events that Ash experienced on his journey, so if anything Dawn is more similar to Ash than May.
And it's possible that she could come back. Brock and Misty came back twice (though the first time Brock returned, he stayed for a long while and left along with Dawn) so the same can be said for Dawn and Ash's other travel companions . . . . . except Iris.

Honstly the dawn seasons kinda was the last times i cared much about ash. Series after that i was more interested on the others more.
I agree Dawn is a lot more like Ash. That is why i enjoyed both of them those seasons cause tbey were like siblings in my eyes.

I would actually love this, but to make it bigger I would like if they brought everyone back like dawn, serena, and may to have idk a party or something as a vacation or a way to catch up. I would love to see the interactions with each other especially if serena throws more attracted hints at ash, like everyone laughing under their breathes and knowing something is up. I would also like to see them all battle like dawn vs serena or may vs mallow. Idk this is my opinion so I'm fine if people don't like it.

Dawn is my favorite pokegirl, so I would love to see her return. I love May too, but I like Dawn a bit more, same as you. Though Dawn has already returned, unlike Iris and Serena. I've hear people say that Serena is too "perfect" for the SM anime, which is a bunch of Tauroscrap to me. But if people really feel that way, I guess they could hold off until the next series. I do think Iris should also come back, because she's very unpopular and hasn't had a chance to redeem herself.
I would like is Clemont came back or Iris came back and if Ash got a Kommo-o she could train Ash with dragon moves and stuff like that.

This would give Nintendo time to work on their first Pokémon game for the switch and get ready to possibly work on the remakes for Diamond and Pearl for 2020.

Silvally rescued her from Nihilego, which caused her memories to come back of the first time Silvally had done so that caused her to be afraid of Pokemon to begin with... With Gladion's help she is now a much more confident trainer and can touch almost all the Pokemon that she encounters.

Regarding gen 4 remakes, actually, it's really not that unlikely. Remember, it took two generations and an entire new handheld system to get the gen 3 remakes. It's very likely that we're going to be getting remakes once every other gen now, and sequels or director's cuts every gen we don't get remakes.

Merciless Freak While I do agree that her design sexualizes her a bit, I must highly disagree that she’s a copy and paste of May. While their goals are slightly similar and their development is similar, their stories, backgrounds and motives couldn’t be more different. May didn’t even like Pokémon when she started her journey and found contests and THEN decided that that was what she wanted to do with herself. Dawn wanted to her like her mom and was trying to live up to her. Dawn had a lot of spunk and fire and attitude and loved having so much fun with contests. They’re very similar yet so different.

I like this theory actually, even though I never did much with contests in the games. I do kinda feel like Dawn would do that sort of thing though.
It's interesting you bring up Dawn and Buneary though cause I have an action figure of her that came with a Buneary.
I also have a Buneary in Ultra Moon, so hopefully I can use it as a Mega Lopunny in the future. I was worried I would be unable to, because my Buneary has the Klutz ability (which makes a Pokémon unable to use held items), but apparently this does not affect Z-Crystals or Mega Stones. So I'm good.
Yes if that does happen it can recall back 3 pokegirls competing in a contest which can be Dawn May and Serena. Serena because in the xyz series we see that Serena was suggested to go to hoen region to participate in contest that will be one heck of a viral episode.

I really like the scenario, but there are a few things I would've done differently
1. We all know no matter what kind of disguise Team Rocket uses, no one figures it out :v so I think that Dawn would've agreed to the contest battle regardless.
2. I think the move set you gave Lopunny was a little too...I dunno, built for wifi battles? its your story so its not a huge problem but I would've let Lopunny keep most of her old moves like Ice Beam and Dizzy Punch and then add Hi Jump Kick replacing Bounce. 4th move could be anything; Attract, Thunder Punch, etc.

Flower Popy Great idea! Making Iris champion is probably the best way to redeem Iris in the eyes of everyone who couldn't get pass her stupid catchphrase. I hated her catchphrase too, but there was a more her character besides that.
