At what depth are you fishing the worm? That first strike looked like it hit on the surface

In that section the water was about 3-feet. I try and get the worm down roughly around the bottom. As I'm tight line nymphing them, I can feel it tumbling against the streambed.

@@theflycrate thanks! I got confused when you said to swing your fly.

Why don't you change your reel around so you can wind with your left hand instead of keep swapping hands with the rod?....that's really weird how you are fishing

Great Video. I've never tried using a squirmy worm but after watching your video I'm keen to give it a go. Should I use a strike indicator with the squirmy worm?

I would start with a strike indicator when fishing a standard floating fly line, especially in higher water or if you can't wade. I only fished tight-line here because I had a euro fly leader on, which makes fishing a strike indicator difficult.

Refreshing to hear someone say to always wet their hands before handling fish.
Weird how so many of these youtoob super fishermen with simms this and orvis that ... *thousands* of dollars of gear pretending to host their own fishing shows DRY HAND fish or hold them out of the water for *way* too long!
