Are you sure that is the correct drain. That looks like the drain for a pvc shower pan liner? The proper drain has a locking nut and rubber gasket on the under side. Am I incorrect? Othewise totally great video. About to install the exact same kit from Costco.
Hi there. I am in the middle of installing one of these right now. Wish I watched this video first. I did the flanges all wrong! I am curious this video was posted 3 years ago, how are things going? I feel like if the system is going to fail, it would be at the flanges.
Did the flanges/lip attachments come with your kit? We had our shower installed by a contractor, and observed that it was leaking. When ripping out the tiles, I noticed that the attachments were not installed.
Hey - I got one of these shower kits and had a plumber install the base for me but they didn't apply the flange while installing the base..... I don't know what to do now. =(
Terrible video, the leaks etc are not part of the video description, I couldn’t see anywhere you had the actual “ rough openings “ dimensions for the base itself.

Same shower pan as well. Do you put the concrete backer on top of the base?
Any leaks yet? I'm installing the same base/drain and concerned about the mating between the two...
No, it's been all good so far. We've been using it for about a month and a half now with no issues

there are 2 models that i saw in another video... one has the flanges pre installed.... so check to see what product you purchased / installed..
