I heard because they want to move to the new testmant quickly so i advice you for ss3 you read manga up to the british civil war arc and then read the light novel for the rest of it, the railgun anime tho best adaption from the 3 and the accelarator anime although it had a lot of bad animation but it is still a good adaption from the manga because the manga is considaring pretty bad in the fandom.also this april is toaru 20th anniversary so we are waiting news for the series. Just here to let you know that Index as a LN is peak fiction, people has been explaining enough about the series so let me just get things easier for you guys. Index is a LN, it have 3 big parts, OT (Old Testament), NT (New Testament), and GT (Genesis Testament) - ongoing part. Anime completed OT (though it's all messed up). Index anime have 3 seasons, 1 movie which could fit inbetween season 1 and 2. Railgun have 3 seasons, season 1 is simply railgun, 2 is S, 3 is T, also with sidestory episode, 2 of them iirc. The order is simple, Index-Railgun, then Accelerator last Index and railgun both have a manga, Railgun anime is extremely superior than Index anime, because the studio can't handle peak fiction. Index have a manga, which is the closest you could get to the LN, manga left out 2 important early Arcs, so anime first then manga. Index manga is monthly, the manga is catching up quite close to the anime. Railgun manga is weekly iirc, and it just now ended an arc and have enough material for season 4. The Index anime is in a no hope state (especially after ss3, and it has been 6 years), but it's fine, it could still be peak, but ss3 will be a hard time for your brain, 9 volumes in 26 episodes after all. Would recommend reading all of the manga after watching the anime, but arc 2 and 4 will still be missing, the anime version of those 2 arcs are completely butchered, the story is 100% messed up, so recommend reading the LN for it. Now to the character, I'll be quick with this. 1: Spiky hair TouMAN, the one and only. In the anime version, he might look like a generic stupid MC that can't do anything properly, but in the LN, he's the ultimate chad, and also suffered more of course, the anime quite literally make it look like he got some sleep, but yeah, no. His power may look like some simple stuff like "there's a devil in my right hand" or "This is the power of my devil", well turns out that it's a lot more, and I mean a whole lot. His character is complex, you won't get this in the anime as it has butchered every bit, but the manga did this quite well so don't worry. 2: White hair albino red eyes Accelerator the gigachad. Simply saying, he's Gojo done right, better than Gojo, stronger than Gojo, and can protect what he loves rather than let everyone dies, might be a little bit sarcastic but it's the truth. You will like him as a villain, as an anti hero, as a hero, but watching the anime, the thing that stand out the most is how badass he looks, he's the 2nd character to not be butchered a whole lot in Index, right after Misaka with no butchering. 3: Misaka, you'll understand her character the best, after all Railgun anime only add more, not butchering, though you'll have quite a different look at her character in the manga. 4: Index the little white nun (she's 15 btw), might not be on the screen a whole lot, but remember, she's the true heroine. Power system: Magic side is real life mythologies, you could see Rosicrucianism, Kabbalism, Shintoism,.... All kind of those stuff, and they're all done accurately with creativity, they're not the kind of "it just happens", they are magic science, to the point that you could understand the characters abilities by simply studying the myths that the ability is based on. To the science side, it's like JJK, but scientific, and basically on par with HxH nen system in complexity and creativity. Story: 1 volume is 1 arc, usually like that. It's not just about Touma, the spiky hair boy, but it's about the world of Index, you could think it like HxH. World building: Apparently it's about the whole world, so not only in Japan or any small scale like that, and by the whole world I mean it will get to existence itself and stuff like that, in a smaller scale, you will get to see outside of Academy city (Japan) is, France, England, Italy, and Russia on the anime, Russia and English are 2 big arcs, with Russia being the biggest arc in the anime (3 volumes). Tried my best not to spoil anything, well, I hope you'll get into the series one day, trust me, it's life changing.

I've got mixed feelings on the Toaru series, I started off with Railgun and absolutely loved it, it was very well put together. Once I finished I was hungry for more so I started watching Index but in my opinion, it wasn't very good. Felt rushed in a lot of places and the main character (Touma) was very boring. Never tried Accelerator so I can't comment on it, Imaginary Fest is apparently a mobile card game but it only released in Japan so I can't say anything on it either.
Don't compare my man Touma with Asta. So you wanna skip everything and watch Accelerator.... So you basically wanna watch an Avengers movie without watching other movies first you'll literally not know sh.t.

You will like him as a villain, as an anti hero, as a hero, but watching the anime, the thing that stand out the most is how badass he looks, he's the 2nd character to not be butchered a whole lot in Index, right after Misaka with no butchering.
3: Misaka, you'll understand her character the best, after all Railgun anime only add more, not butchering, though you'll have quite a different look at her character in the manga.
4: Index the little white nun (she's 15 btw), might not be on the screen a whole lot, but remember, she's the true heroine.
Power system: Magic side is real life mythologies, you could see Rosicrucianism, Kabbalism, Shintoism,.... All kind of those stuff, and they're all done accurately with creativity, they're not the kind of "it just happens", they are magic science, to the point that you could understand the characters abilities by simply studying the myths that the ability is based on.
To the science side, it's like JJK, but scientific, and basically on par with HxH nen system in complexity and creativity.
Story: 1 volume is 1 arc, usually like that. It's not just about Touma, the spiky hair boy, but it's about the world of Index, you could think it like HxH.
World building: Apparently it's about the whole world, so not only in Japan or any small scale like that, and by the whole world I mean it will get to existence itself and stuff like that, in a smaller scale, you will get to see outside of Academy city (Japan) is, France, England, Italy, and Russia on the anime, Russia and English are 2 big arcs, with Russia being the biggest arc in the anime (3 volumes).
Tried my best not to spoil anything, well, I hope you'll get into the series one day, trust me, it's life changing.

I've got mixed feelings on the Toaru series, I started off with Railgun and absolutely loved it, it was very well put together. Once I finished I was hungry for more so I started watching Index but in my opinion, it wasn't very good. Felt rushed in a lot of places and the main character (Touma) was very boring. Never tried Accelerator so I can't comment on it, Imaginary Fest is apparently a mobile card game but it only released in Japan so I can't say anything on it either.
Don't compare my man Touma with Asta.
So you wanna skip everything and watch Accelerator.... So you basically wanna watch an Avengers movie without watching other movies first you'll literally not know sh.t.
But Accelerator anime sucks xD there good only OST. Story, animation - all garbage.

呪術廻戦のほうが有名なのでアクセラレータ(白髪の男)は五条に見えるかもしれませんが、とある魔術の禁書目録の方が10年以上も先に始まったシリーズなのと、アクセラレータは五条と似たように“触れることができない能力”を持っているためファンの間では芥見下々(呪術廻戦の作者)がアクセラレータをリスペクトして作ったのが五条だと考えられています。両方とも素晴らしいキャラクターなので、ぜひアクセラレータのこともチェックしてみてください！
