  • Lena Horne’s DYING Words REVEAL Hollywood's ABUSE of Black Celebs.
Lena Horne is a pioneer in Hollywood and black entertainment. She was the first black person to sign a high-pay, long-term contract with one of the biggest movie production studios in Hollywood. Her success opened the way for many black actors who looked up to her, and she became a leading light in the industry. She had seen it all: the hardships, the rejections, the hard work, and the struggle, and she had conquered. She had fought the battle, and like the victor that she was, she could now share her experience with others, and she did.

Ms. Lena Horne was the epitome of beauty, brains, class, grace, talent, and style. It's ashamed that her parents wanted a boy first instead. It sounds like she went through so many changes just working to live out her dream and life's work. Hollywood writers, directors, producers and all that works behind the scenes are so greedy and filled with lists that so many hopes and dreams have been destroyed. All that glitters ain't gold.

Meet Ms. Horne one night after her one woman show in San Francisco. Ms. Horne was the BOMB!!! Not only was she more beautiful in person, she was a regally proud BLACK woman, down to earth and could and would cuss like a sailor!!! Loved, admired, appreciated her tenacity and fight for racial equality. Made me proud to be a Black woman. Ms. Horne was a one of a kind trailblazer.❤❤❤

It didn't start with her, and neither has it ended with her. The struggle started way before Lena, and she was one who was able to maneuver through some of it. She opened doors for many who came who came after her. The strength that she possessed was also something that should be respected for. She carried herself in a respectful manner and helped up and comming black actors. She wasn't afraid to speak out for civil rights . When one wants to demean or deminish the struggles of the past just look at what those in the present are doing for the next generations.

Wow they are still doing this. Nicki Minaj wouldn't have sign 360 deal. Since they can't make money off of her. Just like they put out lies claiming that she wanted to be the only one, when they designed it that way, and jar been doing for so long. Then everyone started hating her. Yesterday ’s arrest” was all an attempt to ruin her 38 sold out shows. Since they can't get a cut of that your, they start rumors and negative write ups. It's indeed lonely at the top. People don't know this history, so they don't believe her. They treated her just like they did Lena Horn. It will be someone new some day.

This is a great Video. This brings back painful memories which I have been enduring. My relationship of 5 years ended 3 months ago. The love of my life decided to leave me, I really love her so much I can’t stop thinking about her, I’ve tried my very best to get her back in my life, but to no avail, I’m frustrated, I don’t see my life with anyone else. I’ve done my best to get rid of the thoughts of her, but I can’t, I don’t know why I’m saying this here, I really miss her and just can’t stop thinking about her.

Love Lena Horne, of the great artists of the 20th century. But the comments are so shallow and uncritical-----only concerned with her "beauty" and that she "doesnt look Black" shows that we havent made much progress in the 21st century. Lena was a very angry woman in Middle age and I understand why. It took more years before she could Reconcile and let go of all the Rage..

That would make since if Lena had more black genetics or was more black looking, but obviously she wasn't! Lena's parents were mixed themselves with a lot of European genetics,
due to slavery. Now with that being said back in those days I bet you didn't know that black men where forbidden to date/marry women with Lena's complextion, so naturally they were afraid to date women who looked like Lena! Do you think that didn't effect Lena's mind as well, making her feel as though she wasn't black enough! That being said you're judging her intentions harshly, just because Lena was naturally attracted to what she looked like genetically doesn't make her hate the other half of herself. Many biracial people are unduly burden with black and white issues that leave them having to choose sides when it comes to who they marry. I hope this helps you understand a bit more about the circumstances biracial people face in this world, especially in America. I can't believe after all you heard in this documentary you still feel like Lena's intentions are suspect....like what the hell could she gain from putting her neck out for ungreatful azz black people, when she could have just passed and been done with black problems!

Many were forced out of the bussiness, some were killed, and some were forced to endure humiliation, and your response is one of denial by saying she earned a living. She but many others who could and should have were prevented . This isn't about 1 person it's about a group from the past to the future. They say they don't like don't like homosexuality but they promote it . They say they are against racism but they promote negative characterizations of other groups while hidding the historical truth of their own .
