    What a team an era this was. Reliving all my teenage memories right now. As a kiwi very proud of Henry Paul, Frano Botica, Inga Tuigomala. Loved Robinson and Offiah...great times.

    Remember going to this as a 9 year old wire fan.
    Highlight for me was maguire catching botica and a guy we went the match with chucked a snowball that high it put snow on it and it landed on some guys head. As a 9 yr old that was brilliant.

    There aren't many players that could walk into a Super League team from the old days but there are at least 7 Wigan players in this vid who could. No doubt.

    TUIGAMALA'S 2ND TRY. WOW! Who's the English co-commentator beside Ray French? Is Steve Simms the aussie guy talking?

    A lot more entertaining back then, loss of offloads and neither team doing ‘that move’ which every team does now.

    • @AshesHereos
      @AshesHereos 4 года назад

      What's "that move" exactly?

    • @Bobbybulsara179
      @Bobbybulsara179 4 года назад

      @@AshesHereos A double wedge from 1 side of the pitch to the other. Where 1 player has the ball and squares up the defensive line then passes to the oncoming runner or to the man running behind him, the man behind gets the ball and does the same move again as a way of squaring up the defence and creating more space on the flanks for the fullback, centre and wing to utilise. However this move worked when it first came into being when Nathan Brown brought it over in 2009 with Huddersfield, Michael Maguire perfected it with Wigan in 2010 and that space allowed Sam Tomkins an extra yard of space out wide. Over the coming seasons the refs clamped down on obstruction, ruling out perfectly good tries for obstruction, so teams were forced to run 'The move' and practice it to death, however the other teams practice defending it to death also. So nowadays you get 2 teams and whoever has least injuries, better fitness, better discipline and can execute the move and defend the move the best wins, which is killing good rugby.

    "Giving those Warrington supporters something to shout about," as Wire score yet another consolation try. Something that kept happening for the next 30 years.

    When Offiah does an Eric Cantana copy kick in front of the Wire fans to antagonise. Poor form and he went down in my opinion of him from that point.
