Thank you, I have finally found a good reason to watch unboxing, I needed to return a monitor after 12 months, I still had all the packaging but it was not obvious how all the components, saved me some time in trial and error.👍
Some good info, but why didn't you include an actual power usage in different modes ? Wouldn't that be a vital piece of information reviewing a super enegery efficient monitor ?
What this video lacks is timestamps, I want to jump into the video to the part that is the most important to me and see if the product is good to go in this regard, if it is then I may continue with the rest of the video. You have a nice camera, you have cleaned up to make things look good so you're doing some things right.
Hi, thanks for your comment and feedback, I will differently take this onboard and improve in future videos, I am trying my best to improve the channel by myself so feedback like this helps so much.
@@RickysTechTalk Hello, purchase got delayed, research into screens started anew and it seems last years research into this area ended me up here, again. Your review is very well produced. I found another thing lacking this time: there is no coverage on display uniformity. In particular I wonder about back light bleed aka IPS-glow.
So how many watts does it use in practice? Not much point in highlighting a monitor that's marketed as 'Super Efficient' if you don't stick a power monitor on it. Philips claim 14.5 W (typ.) (EnergyStar test method).
exactly what i was looking for i want to use it as a monitor for my macbook and xbox while also keeping the power consumption low also great video quality
Hi there, thanks for the review really helpful! I just want to ask - I bought this monitor because it has a built-in privacy feature - has anyone found how it is activated?
Hi, thanks for your comment, when it comes to privacy if refers to the power sensor, as when this is set to turn off the monitor when you move away from your desk it means it will lock until you return to your desk. This can be turned on in the menu system look for power sensor and turn on.
Are you happy with the colors on this monitor? I've tried several IPS monitors over the past few years and i found them all somewhat weird... are the colors on this monitor natural, not too oversaturated, not lacking in any specific colors?
Hi, thanks for your comment. For the price and spec, I felt the colours looked good, the content was enjoyable, and I didn't notice I was let down. For oversaturation, I would suggest a Samsung monitor. Like their mobile phones, the colours pop and look too bright sometimes, but they are great when watching movies and playing games.
@@RickysTechTalk That's the thing, I don't want an oversaturated monitor, because my eyes are very sensitive and are easily strained. That's another reason for me switching monitors, I can't seem to find one that doesn't strain my eyes. I've heard good things about this one (and 242B1H) and have my eye on it. I've tried Viewsonic VG2719 before, it looked kind of strange and warmish, blues were kind of weak, wasn't too crazy about it, so I sold it. Just one more question: how does the blank screen look in the dark? No severe backlight bleeding?
With your comment in mind, this is why I like Philips monitors as they offer flicker free technology plus low blue mode which helps me so much due to my poor vision too. This monitor was ease of use too.
Thanks for your comment, looking through both specs, it depends on connects as the 24E1N is mainly focused towards USB. Both monitor should be ok for photo editing too.

Hi, thanks for your comment and feedback, I will invest in a power meter to test power efficiency in future videos.

Hi, press toggle in on the back, check the plug, check connected devices and check cables for starters. Is there an LED indicator showing?
