Hedi Slimane is playing with my psyche. I hated the use he gave to denim and to some basics on his past collection, that even made me question my devotion to his work, but he has now managed to shut my mouth up again. THIS COLLECTION WAS BEAUTIFUL !!! I know it's always the Forever 21 look everyone hates, but the use of such seemingly "ordinary and tacky" pieces (denim and military) with the delicacy of those embroidered see-through dresses and the quality and richness of materials create an optimal balance. Footwear was perfectionl, as well as tailored and leather pieces that were impeccably executed. Those angry princesses looked fantastic!!!

i loooove the concept sooo much but there was no diversity at all. it's hip it's cool i love the new approach but i felt like the clothes looked too much alike it was like watching 10 models walking down the runway with the same black dress and black/green boots

There are a thousand and one ways to cut a slinky gown but none of these are it. Those terrible bust darts that neither contained breasts nor showed them off at their best are hilarious. And if you're going to cut on the bias, then make the fabric drape over the female form like it's supposed to, not sag like a cheap polyester nightgown.
The format is giving me a headache. I'd rather they build a proper House for Slimane to play with rather than the overhaul of YSL into something completely unrecognisable. I actually like this collection. But Saint Laurent it ain't.

OMG...this is SO not Saint Laurent. Watch some of his 80's and 90's fashion shows. He was style, glam and sophistication. And his models were women that looked feminine and elegant. This is fine for Miu Miu or Prada but not Saint Laurent.
His runway cast was as expected, grungy, emaciated and - with the exception of one token black girl and one token asian girl, totally whitewashed. So extremely boring.......
