Well none of the 1.3 billion and millions of engineering graduates have made any bit of contribution to either improve it themselves or have provided any solutions.. These bikes were designed in England again.. Only produced in India. It's not RE's fault Indian consumers don't add value other than they have actually crowdfunded this project from years of buying the other models of RE. We should be grateful for RE they not only went for it but aslo are making themselves some name internationally because of this. Most Indian consumers value wealth possession, Improvement and progression is about wealth creation solving problems its not happening here.
@@ivanm5534 A Patakha ('firework' in Hindi) exhaust is an Indian genre of exhaust for almost all of the conventional(Bullet, Classic, Thunderbird, etc.) royal enfields (and many other bikes) it creates a very noisy, and discomforting sound and because of this is completely banned by the *Central Motor Vehicle Act Section 190* of the Indian rules and regulations. But due to the extreme inclination of mostly youth and adults towards "modifying" their bikes (Mostly royal enfields) with this specific category, and the light attitude of the Police in most states of India, hundreds of companies in India, still illegally produce it.
Was never a fan of Royal Enfields like the Classic 350,500 but the Continental GT and the Cafe Racer design language is just pure awesomeness. And obviously there is no replacement for the Continental GT 650
Absence of tubeless tyres, even as an option, is a major concern as one can't really trust the roadside tyre repair shop to uninstall & reinstall the rear wheel properly. This will be a real practical headache for those who plan to take this bike on long rides to remote places.
choosing between the two wasn't difficult for me. 10 mins on GT in city traffic and it confirmed my doubts. M too old for this shit. Booked Ravishing Red Interceptor the next day.
Was waiting for the interceptor since its international launch booked it on the day of the launch. Test rode both last week. Booking the interceptor was a good choice
Aman Ahluwalia since i booked mine on launch day. They have promised a delivery in 3rd week of january. One of my friends booked the next day he'll be getting in february 3 or 4th week and another has booked a week later he'll be getting his in april.
That wouldn't be a good idea to be honest, interceptor with gt gas tank is cool but a gt with interceptor handle bar is a REALLY REALLY BAD IDEA, because of the gear shifter which is placed a lil back and high which is intentionally designed for leaning forward, doing this custom would look sexy but I'm pretty sure nobody can handle the body pain after that
They have that much in common that you could buy the tank, clip ons and rear sets linkage , 1 or 2 hrs. work in the garage and you have a different bike.
That’s a great review, thanks guys. I am up for the GT, but the only thing I am concerned about now is the availability of allow wheels, do you have any updates regarding that?
A 390 ktm owner who never liked RE and never was a fan of it, but this 650 twins are making me crazy to own one soon. The music and video did justify this review 0:56 is lit AF. JOB WELL DONE.
conti takes my heart in terms of looks. especially this white one. but interceptor is wayy more versatile and one of the best touring package in the country right now. lol im even tempted to buy the interceptor and replace its tank with this white one..
Hey, I would like to see some special editions on these twins with dual discs, mags and premium rubber , mono shock , all led and if not all tft at least an all digital cluster Just like Pegasus in classic, the x in thunderbird ❤️❤️ I know it will increase the cost but it’s totally worth. Imagine performance kits for gt. OMG!!
And like any other RE, can these be easily customised to one’s taste...? To my observation, the front wheel of Conti is wider than Interceptor... is it?
I really like this new interceptor from Enfield, just stick a luggage rack for work and its an everyday ride. I will be looking for a new bike in the very near future, so I will be visiting my Enfield dealership.
The main difference between the two models is the ergonomic setup. The Continental GT has café racer clip-on handlebars, rearset foot controls, and a fuel tank carved for tucking knees in during more aggressive riding. In contrast, the Interceptor is more of a standard bike. The handlebars are upright, the flat, two-person seat is thicker and more comfortable, the foot pegs are positioned more directly under the rider’s knees, and the tank is a teardrop shape, with a gentle indent. I chose the first 🥰
I own a baker express and I like it. I would love it more than anything, if only it had traditional horizontal exhausts, a better seat and a bit more forward placed footpegs. Being a family man these things just takes away the practicality of the bike.
@@anantbijolia8415 thnk u for being so informative but unfortunately they have a line of accessories especially for interceptor for touring purpose and there is no need that every touring bike has to be an adventure structured
Interceptor would be good choice for highway cruising. In terms of design, I would prefer colouring both fenders and high riser straight rod handlebar.
You'd be adding unsprung weight for no reason, there's an argument for alloy wheels for reliability and going tubeless but it's not a racing bike, it doesn't need that stuff, buy a Japanese pocket rocket if that's your style.
Getting the Delivery of My Continental GT 650 today. The Stock Tyres have been changed to Ceat Zoom Cruz F by the company which are clearly a downgrade. After few days of conversations with the customer service they said that the tyres have been changed (Clearly the Advertising of Pirelli Tyres is a misinformation now) and after asking for the compensation for the price difference in price of tyres they said that there would be no compensation as there is no Mandate or promise given by the company to provide Pirelli tyres only. The attitude of the showroom is also quite bad. They said "Lena ho toh bata do nahi toh dusre log wait kar hi rahe hain lene k liye" (New Kind of Dadagiri). So basically if tomorrow they say that now we have changed the chassis also from Harris performance to some local Manufacturer or Bybre Break with something local, while keeping the price of the bike same, we as common consumers won't be able to do a thing. Highly Disappointed with this attitude of the "Highly Esteemed" Bike Manufacturer.
In simple term its like a free wheel in a bicycle When u down shift the wheel speed(speedo ) becomes much more than the engine speed(RPM) due to which wheel tend to lock up (wheel speed drastically decreases to match with engine speed) but with slipper clutch the wheel could rotate much more freely and match the engine speed smoothly( wheel slowly reaches the engine speed)

You best believe some idiot is going install a pataka exhaust and destroy the appeal of those gorgeous twins
there wont be any pataka though......
That pataka is called engine backfiring, happens in every gasoline engine. But you can't hear it with stock exhaust.

So true
I had a similar feeling, then rode both of them. Now my mind and heart both says Interceptor. Just booked one day before yesterday!! ☺️

paint quality is good but the paint layer is really thin this means that its easy to get stone chipped on the tank
This engine needs to be ported to the himalayan along with some ergonomic changes and that would be fun to ride especially on the pothole filled roads
