Next we will show you how to convert the guitar into a windmill.
😂😂😂🤣
Thanks for the video, this totally showed me that I need to take my guitar to a professional
Exactly my thoughts
Well that seems simple enough........
+Alex Hollins im sensing sarcasm :P
🤣
I turned to my LP while watching this, just to let her know that I would never do this to her.
I'll just tune my guitar every once and a while.
no kidding lol
Tyler DeHate ill just not fret my chords with incredible hulk grip
The real magic of these bridges is if you do play gigs. At least to me its fantastic not worrying about tuning issues. The guitar has also typically been in a car/plane and takes time to settle. With this system you are set with a quick check, and its usually spot on!
Lol 😂

There goes any interest I had in installing one of these myself lol
You're not alone lol
Yeah…… no way
..its just that easy!
Beautifully done - takes a lot of courage to commit like that!
I’m sure he practiced on a bunch of Epiphone Specials bought used first. Completely screwed up on the first few.
wow. had no idea they needed so much wood to be removed.
For anyone who's upset about whats being done, you may be relieved to know that guitar was close friends with Jeffrey Epstien and visited his island frequently. Yeah not so bad now, huh?
and now you have 18% of your original guitar remaining, so get the G94xPt 9000 guide and line it up with the last line in your bank statement. with a pencil write the amount of the price paid for your guitar, and add a (-) sign in front of the value. you have successfully thrown away your money.
So many uninformed comments that are just projections of what they believe is better than this. The system allows PERPETUAL tuning stability, and the ultimate studio guitar presence. And if you'd go so far as to actually listen to a guitar with an Evertune bridge in it, you'd find that in most cases the sound is tighter, and warmer and to some people that's what's perceived as better.
shasha2727 you must be an employee
Actually, I have an ESP LTD EC-1000ET, which obviously has the Evertune bridge in it. I was skeptical as well when it first came out. However I watched some recent videos, and realized that you can bend, etc with it (I literally wrote it off and paid ZERO mind to it when released other than reading it's initial reports). OnceI saw multuple videos and read multiple pieces of info, I bought the LTD with the Evertune. I have never been happier! It doesn't "stay in tune with itself", yet it stays in tune with what I set it at, which in this case is A440. I bought it a month and a half or so ago, could be as much as 2 months. As an experiment, I have left the strings it came with (fresh installation of D'Addario XL's at the shop, although not my personal string choice) on it, and used it like I normally do, which is weekly for practice, and on Sundays for a Worship guitar which sometimes is rhythm, and sometimes lead. As of Yesterdays practice, I still have not had to tune it, not once aside of one time I was showing off the different stages of "lock" areas (such as stage 2 which allows you to bend and never go sharp or flat no matter how hard you press or bend the strings) and then I used the tuning wrench it comes with to show how and where you tune it, and I accidentally moved the high E string out of tune, and had to bring it back. Aside of that, not had to tune it, ever (get it? Evertune? haha) So, I get the skepticism, but this is from a real world user. And hey, if someone wants to tell me I got lucky and got one that works great, then hey, I won the lottery, because this is the best non standard bridge system I have ever used and I couldn't be happier! I do wish you could drop tune easier with these things, but that is why I used it as I do, because no need to drop tune at church. I will use my standard rigs for those types of gigs!
What size forstner bit is used to route the pocket?
Nice way to fuck up a good guitar. You'd have to pay me and provide the guitar to use this.
Hey I have a Schecter Omen 7 would it be possible to upgrade the stock bridge to the Evertune?
i will try this myself
thanks
Vahid Shahabi
why not re-invent the guitar?
it'd be easier! How many guitarists are expert woodworkers ?
drill press? forstner bits? router? seriously?
Movafagh baashi
Oh installing in a Epi, studio Pro, with a repaired head. If I like it I might put it in something better. But as of right now I'm not happy with service. Lets see if they make it right.
I wouldn't dare do this on any guitar.
Me either but a pro is a pro. My dad did car body work. I’m like, how can it come out looking dealership new?
You want to do THAT to my Les Paul Custom?!!! Swrong with you ?!!!
Ikr
However the benefits out weigh the bad
This should only be done to a Chibson Les Paul guitar!
This is for professional studio A listers, not us garage players
Maybe those Gibson robot tuners wasn’t a bad idea, after all
That would not be possible, since the system is based on spring tension. Remember those Kahlertrems? They were top mounted with small springs, but I doubt they could use this system to counter the string tension.
Is there enough wood left to technically call it a guitar?
Loooooooooool how am i suppose to do this... Forget it xD
Conclusion: just buy a guitar with Evertune bridge already installed.
Yes! Keep in mind this video is 10 years old and was meant as an instruction video for professionals before there were OEM guitars available with Evertune.
It's now 10 years later and they have a new template design that allows you to easily remove the wood with a chain saw.
Will this work on an original 59 LP? 0_o
***** An offense worthy of capital punishment.
I've already installed Floyd Rose on my 1959 Les Paul
I used my ‘59 Les Paul as firewood when we ran out.🤣
Just try it
Wow, no wonder they used a Studio. I couldn't even think about doing this much surgery to a Les Paul Standard or Customl. Somehow........ it seems very different when the factory decides to mill out a lot of the body (chambered or weight reduced). I'm not a huge fan of milling wood out of the centerline of the guitar. Maybe I just don't like the idea of it. This would have to be a factory installed item for me to even consider it. Junk guitar, sure but no $350 bridge on a $100 junker?
Yeah... I might have changed my mind.
U can smuggle a gold bullion in there lol 😂
dang thats a lot of chippity choppity
AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FO THAT
What are you talking about? It only took him 6 minutes. Look at the video time of 6:09
No going back from that.
How deep is that guitar?
I don't recall, but there is detailed installation info here: www.evertune.com/resources/instructions_drawings_and_CAD_for_bridge_installation.php that will tell you how thick a guitar has to be for various configurations. Plus dimensioned drawings and CAD files.
Generally speaking, an F model will just fit in a stock Strat with a surface mounted rear plate, and a G model will require a riser plate under the rear plate if the guitar is thinner than 1-3/4" which I think might happen on SG's.
The difference between F and G models is the space between the strings and the body of the guitar. G models have a larger space, such as used in tune-a-matic bridges.
Interesting. I ask because you could only go so deep until you bit the cavities I where the pickups are installed!
@@joeoneill9098 In the F model, the wood is almost completely gone there. If you don't have a pickguard there is only a thin strip of wood between the bridge pocket and the pickup pocket. The bottom of the neck pickup nearly hits the Evertune modules. It is a very tight fit.
The bridge looks like a brilliant invention but I think you have your work cut out for you trying to convince people to do this to a Les Paul standard or better.
people actually willingly remove this much wood from their guitar....
kh155 And acoustic guitars have more wood?
kh155 Wood doesnt matter on an electric
+FPChris I really believe the amount of wood does. The other week I A/B'd two identical guitars how ever one had a floyd rose n the othe a fixed bridge. Instantly I could hear that the floyd equipped guitar had a lot less bass then the fixed bridge
Old debate.
Aaron,
The guitars are not identical!
Did you record the instrument then swap bridge systems?
The pickups may have had slightly different outputs (windings), pots may have slightly different values and the caps which do react with the load, are in the circuit even when the pot is wide open may have different values.
To top it all off, the necks may have had different densities (most definitely) and this does make an appreciable tone difference that body wood has far less (like none we hear when amplified) effect, and the bridge systems are made up of differing materials which makes quite an audible difference in many cases.
Other than this, the instruments may have been identical ;-)
WHY?
yes, it will change the tone/voice of the guitar completely. You can counteract the tone degradation by changing pups and string gauge.
Wow.. he routed like half the guitar away!! No wonder it costs so much.. half the money is jigs!!!
The G style retrofit is much harder than F for sure. It's much easier to manufacture a new guitar with Evertune from the start, which a number of OEM's do.
Disappointed not to see the hardware get installed after all that.
This video was created strictly as a routing guide for installers. There may be more resources on the Evertune site that explain installation.
jesus christ! nope, i think I'm good. :P nice video though
My guitar does not move so much that I have to destroy it like this
3:30 Lol, serious?
this is a little intimidating.
wouldnt the loss of wood cause loss of sustain?
I'm hoping this will work for my 17th century Stradivarius. Fucking old POS just won't stay in tune
so what its a 500 dollar part that kills the value of your guitar. smart
For the ones with a loooot of money
its not a tool or a savings account, quit with the drama queen metaphors, most guitar players sell to buy new, if its a guitar youre gonna keep then its fine, but if you plan on reselling, most people dont want altered parts
derzx 479
They don't have to buy it then. Stop being such a fucking drama queen.
Really,I'm never gonna butcher a Les Paul, Hannes bridge is better anyway
Evertune is the best ever. This video maybe the worst ever.
This gives me anxiety
What's wrong with Nut Sauce (or similar). If the guitar needs this kind of system it's a crappy guitar to begin with.
Looks like shit, I'm not being sniffy but if a shop routed a big fecking ugly and scruffy hole like that I would be livid. For it to a Chinese squire , you can always throw a decent neck on afterwards.
Seriously?
These procedures offer so many ways to screw up! Plus - look at how much wood is removed from your guitar. NO WAY will I ever install one of these metal monstrosities. YE GODS!
A retrofit should be done by a pro. Or you can get a new guitar that already has it.
Why on Earth would you want to butcher your guitar like this!!!
I'm guitar tech and if a customer asked for this I ask them why. Tune the god damn thing also it ruins most guitars sound...WAY TO MUCH METAL NO WOOD.
It's sad how people avoid new stuff and are stuck in the past. This thing is just so useful in live situations and studio. Real professional guitar techs won't argue about that. Maybe not worth it, if you are playing at home with your line6 spider 15w amp, but when temperature and humidity varies from place to place in gigging situations, it's just a no brainer really. Saves alot of time in studio situations also because you don't have to waste time tuning the thing after every take. Also alot better when you can set the bridge for rhythm takes so when pressing or hitting the string harder won't make it go sharp. Most people didn't even learn or try how the thing works before commenting and most of those guys play only strats and les pauls. Cmon it's 2019 not 1960.
"...and the routing is complete"
Congratulations, you just ruined the value of your guitar.
I don't doubt the Evertune - plenty musicians swear by them - but I would rather tune my guitar every now and then, instead of taking out such a huge chunk of tonewood!
