I have been following you here in the UK for quite a while - interesting to see the Pro Hauler is what superseded the YFM225 Moto 4 - I have one of those in blue with new rear tyres. Just doing a few jobs on it to get it going again. I also have three Kawasaki KLF185's (Bayou) - one is going to be complete and I will sell that and there is another full one plus almost another in parts. I had some interest in fuel tanks for those from Australia and the USA but shipping is so expensive! My everyday worker is a Suzuki King Quad 300 which is very useful but has the usual carb issues - forever having to fettle it as it runs super rich at the moment and I can't seem to reduce the fuel intake on it.
Hi could you explain how the clutch works on the pro hauler. I currently have a pro hauler and when driving it feels like the clutch is slipping, so I’m thinking of replacing the clutch myself but would like a little bit of understanding on how the clutch mechanism works.
I have an -89 as well, the low gear only model but other than that it's exactly like yours. I've fixed it up to a reasonable state and uses it quite a lot at my country house but wants to put new tires on it. Been looking "all over the world" for 24x11-9 which is the original rear-size but no one seems to make them any more. Please tell me if you manage to find that anywhere! I could put 25s on it but would really like the original if possible! Good luck with the restoration!

@@BricoleurTV the world doesnt make balloon tires like that anymore. for good reason. your only option would be to find old dry rotted tires. not a single person on this earth cares about original tires like that. dont be that one guy holding on to stuff the world deemed insignificant. just take the solution the world made and get the tire you can actually find that is still made for that exact reason.

FYI, the reason that happened is due to the improper oil filter being used. The correct filter has four small holes that feed the cylinder head/camshaft journals. Fortunately, that same cylinder head was used on NUMEROUS Yamaha engines and can be found online all the time. Best Wishes!

you can replace em with other sizes dont need original. take it to tire shop they will fit a tire to the rim no prob on the balloon tires

What’s happened with this bike, did you manage to sell it?
I didn’t know how much they went for, I’ve have one in the garage after the camshaft and bush ate themselves alive. I should probably fix it up.

Bottom bit of tray on back would not be original should be ribbed same as the vertical bit
