Siegfried: **takes half a second to write two words of encouragement**
Me: "OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD, SIEGFRIED APPROVES OF SOMETHING I DID WITH SINGING. MY ENTIRE LIFE IS VALIDATED."

Pro tip, you don’t need a pop filter when singing through a handheld dynamic mic. They have a built in pop filter 😉

This is actually just my makeshift visual setup for lip-syncing. I actually track these in the same lockout and with the same gear that I use to record our album tracks.
You see, Ken Tamplin? You see how easy that is to admit?

@ oh dude then why have a pop filter at all? Covering half your face lol.

built in pop filter on hand held mic isn't enough sometimes.

Mostly just a comfort thing I guess.
I don't have the confidence to the Dan Vasc thing where you stand in front of a green screen, looking seductively into the camera like a Pantene Pro-V model, so I guess I feel an obligation to try and make it look as authentically "live/one take" as possible. It's not the most rational thing in the world, but it is what it is.
