You have narrated nicely whole of the story but conclusion you made was wrong.. i think you should visit Jatrotsav of all three Devi's at Mulgao, Mayem and Shirgao.. and you will come to know what they have promised to each other and which devi stood at Mayem n Mulgao.. today people says Kelbai Devi went to Mulgao n took shelter over there but it is wrong.. Devi Kelbai stayed at Mayem and Devi Mahmai went to Mulgao..please don't spread wrong Information. Just to clarify dear this is the mahamaya or (mhamai) of mulgao and not kelbai and the real kelbai is at mulgao. And the mahamaya of mayem is not the sister of kelbai. The names were mixed up or changed by mulgoakar for a certain reason and most will not know the real name. Mhamai of mulgao comes to mayem to meet her sister kelbai. The story is as when the starters were choosing where to settle mhamai didn't want to leave her order sister's side so kelbai said don't worry once a year I'll come to take you from mulgoa to mayem ..hence mayekars go to mulgao during the zatra and are the ones to tie the peth and take it out of the temple as to bring mhamai to mulgao
