Alder from the "Grow It" Bonsai Seed Kit

- These Alders are from my "Grow it" bonsai kit that i started in 2020. The contained these alder, birch and japanese black pines.
A lot of the seeds where mixed together, and in this video I finally got them all separated into their difference species. Things are a little messy, but if you want to see the start of the grow kit it is linked in the playlist below.

Cheers bro, yeah. its damn good to have them all sorted out as such. feels even better to have all the videos files sorted. It was just a huge folder with hundreds of clips before haha
I've grown one of these and put the seedling in a very deep narrow pot and the trunk is nice and thick as the tap root really pushed down a long way. In Springfield it's getting a 'boston idiot' trunk chop to become a shohin.

I just love the splendid green colour of the alders. Looks like they'll be really nice to work with - fine branching and very flexible. What species was supplied with your kit? Did you pot up your little rowan as well?
Cheers Sue. so the kit has these alder, then the birch from the other day (silver and downy) and then a japanese black pine.
as for that rowan. i did pot it up. I checked on it this morning and it seems to have vansihed. lol. just an empty pot. i guess an animal stole it, or maybe its just hiding as its covered in dead leaves and general winter mess like that
