South Florida has been hot this year. I wish for everyone to dodge the very strong storms. We are not afraid of cat 1 or 2 hurricanes. When they get stronger, that is dicey. 🌀🇺🇸🌊🌪️⛈️🌴
Dani its been quiet this year so far because of the same reason as last year... Sahara sand. They're saying the average pressure though is up down there compared to last year so maybe it'll be a bit quieter through the heart of the season (8.15-10.1). btw I don't put much trust in these predictions. Like last year. Yeah the season completely crashed after 10.1. Generally speaking though quiet starts generally results in quieter seasons thus let us hope this is one of those.

Curious about the Saharan dust. Does it keep the clouds & rain away? Or do the clouds ride above the dust and when it rains, it creates a muddy rain? I'm sorry I have no clue but am curious.
It does help to limit rainfall but when there is rain during the dust plumes, the droplets pick up the dust particles so when they reach earth’s surface, the rain appears dirty.
