Hi, that's me in the video! I had my test today at Borehamwood, I PASSED with 4 minor faults. This was super useful, thank you Mark, thank you Zondo Driving! :)
The way he's driving makes me think he's really nervous. It sometimes seems like he isn't planning ahead or anticipating, just coming to junctions or hazards with no preparation and then having to brake really harshly. I think if he slowed down sooner, it would give him more time to react and his driving would be smoother
08:01 rule 215 of the Highway Code states “when you see a horse on a road, you should slow down to a maximum of 10 mph”, he passed the horse at 18mph, that’s way too fast to pass a horse, horses can get easily startled and can be very unpredictable if they feel scared.
Yeah basic common sense even if you don't know the rule number or wording people should know to go past at walking speed and is something people should have learned as a child long before even driving a car
keyword is should, so you wouldnt fail for not going at a max of 10mph. in the mock he does slow down and make an effort and is not far from 10mph which wouldnt fail him
I passed way back in 1989 - Even now I pre-plan even the shortest route as I like to know exactly where I'm going and whats ahead on the roundabout route - Sat Nav's I always find give you instructions like "Turn right after 100 yards" well whats 100 yards - If your driving a motor especially manual your more concerned with controlling the car and more so of other Rd users actions - I'm always tempted to say to the Sat Nav - Sorry Sat I didn't bring my tape measure with me! - I've got a few Sat Nav's - I just wish they did a real time live view of the Rd's and pointy arrows with more timely precise instructions - Think Sygic do one but its not exactly great - The Garmin one I use gives you a live view once reach destination - I passed second time at Ilford - I recall I was highly nervous 18 Yr old and way back then female examiners were never really heard of and it was rare to get one - Unfort on my first test a posh tall slim blond in high heels and the shortest of skirt and longest of legs was my examiner - Unfort Instant failure :) - Gd videos matey - I'm still leaning even now!
09:25, that’s it, the speed limit is still 30mph UNTIL you reach the nsl sign, once you’ve passed the nsl sign you can check your centre mirror and then your right side mirror and then you can increase your speed if it’s safe to do so.
“You may cross the line if necessary, provided the road is clear, to pass a stationary vehicle, or overtake a pedal cycle, horse or road maintenance vehicle, if they are travelling at 10 mph (16 km/h) or less." So yes, but too fast.

Amazing job Ganesh. Well done. Thank you for taking part and good luck with your future driving 🎉🥳
any tips
@@luqmanmohames677 Do try to take a mock test before the actual test
@@GaneshSrinivasan01 no dice. My exam is in 2 days

Well said

Unfortunately many people lack common sense these days.

12:17 it’s nice and clear in front of him, he should be doing close to 70mph, 53mph is way too slow.
17:52 that’s right, drivers have priority at pedestrian refuge islands because they’re not pedestrian crossings.

Thank you for watching. It took me a while to get used to the distances being given out by the Sat-Nav.

14:08 it’s a bit worn out but I think it says no hgvs on the road due to the width restriction.
17:22 the learner is wrong, a pedestrian crossing will have white zigzag lines on the entrance and exit.
At 06:49 - is this not a serious for crossing solid white lines?
Wait Giggs is a driving instructor now😳
28:00 even though they put graffiti on that road sign it’s obviously a 30mph speed limit because it has street lights and no 20mph repeater signs.
Other sign is not graffitied and it clearly says 30. But it's a fairly obvious 30!
Before my actual test I got a serious fault. But then I passed once my nerves calmed down.
Congrats 🥳
May I know why there is no need for signaling when he overtakes the bus @ 6:50?
Because everyone will know that you're going to go around the bus. Also it could confuse those around you, especially if there's a road nearby.
6:50 is it ok to go across the double white line like that?
“You may cross the line if necessary, provided the road is clear, to pass a stationary vehicle, or overtake a pedal cycle, horse or road maintenance vehicle, if they are travelling at 10 mph (16 km/h) or less."
So yes, but too fast.
Number 7 didn’t seem that serious imo .. was an open junction and could see there wasn’t any cars coming
Actually looking back at it it might be serious .. since he only looks once he’s in the roundabout
Yeah definitely a serious. Imagine if another vehicle was coming from the right at speed. He wouldn’t have seen it until it was too late.
How can i control my nerves can someone tell me i failed 4 timed already😢
Do a few mock tests so that you get used to the feeling of being marked
