Amazing how Santa Monica Pier looks like now. I was there last year pre covid19 and it was just packed , loved the arcades there playing the halo game. It was some great memories, one day this covid will be over
I was there March 9th before covid started . I definately had to change the places I go to. Now I go to Orange County Beaches more often where it’s less strict than LA County beaches I’ll return here when no more covid rules exist

I had a class reunion on the Santa Monica pier. I did not go to school in California but I went to a performing arts high school and many of my classmates live in LA so we had it there! Awesome memories! But it was very crowded when we went its so empty now! I hardly saw any of this stuff other than taking pictures in the same spot as you suggested!

The carousel, has been in so many movies, and TV shows over the years. If places could be listed with credits as actors are, the list would be endless.
The riots that happened in the summer of 2020 really messed up the shops around the Santa Monica pier... it was a sad scene of boarded Shops and graffiti. Never thought I would see that in Santa Monica.
Hey Mr. Chris. You are totally spoiling us this week with all your video's. Once again I heard about Santa Monica but never have been there. The walking tour gave me an up close look at all of it. Thank you. Apparently walking tour videos are becoming popular. A couple other Vloggers I follow changed their channel over to just walking tours but they are boring. No talking or explanation like you do. I bet your mother in law is glad you and the "Little Explorer" are getting out of the house during your vacation week so she has the place to herself. lol Maybe she will do more in your garden. lol

Before I moved from California in the summer of 1988. The last job that I had was rebuilding the pier in Santa Monica after one of the winter storms made it a little bit shorter. And there are really two piers that run side by side , one is the city pier and the other is the county pier.
A lot better then your previous walks because i can here u better and i can see a smoother walk down your path You should to thus type of walking again this time redoing your walk from 2 days ago at a SoCal beach! And what camera did you use this to film this walk?! 💟♥💟ur walk!
Nice video. Thanks. If the Winchester Mansion is open to visitors, that might be a interesting place to film. Another Californian legend. Not sure though. I have heard a lot about it, but do not know whether those things perhaps are grossly exaggerated. If it is just a old house with a staircase that leads nowhere and one or two doors without rooms or closets behind them, that would probably not be worth a trip.

Makes me want to visit Santa Monica as soon as pandemic is over. I am a Zonie and usually held to San Diego’s beaches. But this looks like fun.

The Winchester mansion is really cool! It's hard to shoot good video in there as they only let you go on guided tours

The earlier in the morning you go the less people there are. I'd say the crowds start to descend around 11am

The pier opens and closes at different hours throughout the season. The beach itself doesn't have a curfew in Santa Monica or Venice.
