@@shqa574 This is a repost of a comment I just left on this video. Seen you were a local so I thought I'd ask.
If somebody doesn't mind taking the time to answer, I have a question. I love learning about the weather, particularly severe weather like tornados and hurricanes. I live in MI, where we get all four seasons, but FAR FAR away from Cali. I've been to the smokies in TN numerous times. Favorite place in the states, and I've been told the mountains in the west make the Appalachians look like little hills! So between the deserts and the mountains, CA has always been a bit of a wild card, when keeping track of their weather norms, especially seeing that snow on those palm trees! I'm aware that the mountains have always gotten snow, but, do the areas shown in this video, ever even get snow? Or is this truly a freak of nature weather event?

feels a lot less magical to those of us in the mountains under 8 feet of snow, with gas lines exploding from the weight, all of our grocery stores having collapsed, and the majority of us trapped in our homes for two weeks.

NO. This won't do anything for the "drought" because the idiots in California won build dams and reservoirs to collect all these waters. In fact they are simply releasing all these waters into the delta to "save" delta smelt. But you know Gavin Nuisance will try to ration the water come this summer because of the men-made "drought" and your water companies will jack up your rates. Again.

I’m sorry but you people who live in California, you guy’s can keep it. You guys have earthquakes one year, next year you’re having extreme drought and wildfires everywhere and now there’s massive snowstorm and flooding, mudslides, hillsides. It’s just one calamity after another. It’s ridiculous

How come they have snow blowers at hand? ... and all the equipment for snow removal?
