A truly wonderful scenic journey, i recently found your site & I like what i see, Some of the silos have the lines removed do they still transport the grain by rail? cheers Bob.🍺🍺👍👍👍👍
The grain receival points were consolidated into a few bigger sites for better productivity a number of years ago across the state. Some now goes by road but there is still a lot of grain going by rail. Glad you enjoyed the ride and found my channel interesting, Bob. 😊 👍😀
Ooh yeah, a journey video!

1:23:20 What looks to be a couple of broadcast transmitter towers(AM or FM?).
@@neilforbes416 I think they are for a local radio station. 🤔👍
Even though this was recorded in August 2024 i can imagine today 1st of February 2025 how hot it would be
@@Mediawatcher2023 I reckon it would be pretty hot out there. 🤔👍😀
@@driver667 using milduras temperature for tomorrow sunday it be 41c

Gotta question for you, have farmers switched from shipping grain by rail and using trucks to transport the grain or have they stopped planting grain crops and are growing other crops? I think the only grain silos that still had a functioning looking rail siding was at the final stopping point all the other Silo's passed along the way had the rail siding switches were disconnected. Good video!
@@richardlong3745 grain storage and transport has been consolidated into a few points. Some farmers have switched to other crops and some has gone to road. Glad to hear you enjoyed the ride 👍 😀
2:26: 29 At left, another broadcast tower.
2:07:00 Tutye self!😄
I came from West Tennessee USA to make this journey.
@@Kajuniter that's a fair distance to travel. Hope you enjoyed your trip. 👍😀

The train would use the following Gauges 1,435 mm (4 ft 8+1⁄2 in) and 1,600 mm (5 ft 3 in)
@@Mediawatcher2023 it used to be broad gauge but it was converted to standard gauge. 👍😀
@@driver667 OK i was trying to find out where the town of Ouyen is its south of Mildura
@@Mediawatcher2023 it sure is. Part of the Murray Basin project. 👍😀
@ yes exactly
Ha ha! I guess we all knew the full video of this trip was coming some day. 😄
Going over hill and Underbool, and maybe wangling a cow along the way. 🐄🤠 We'd better not Linga too long if we want to make it to the Mexican restaurant in time for a Torrita. 🌮
@@martythemartian99 😂😂 good job 👍 😀
