It's you, your car and the road. As you drive across the USA, people take notice. But nobody knows where you'll end up - not even you.
- Heading Out is an immersive driving game passionately inspired by cult classic road movies. Escape your fears by taking off down American highways on an emotional trip of discovery.
- The fears, dreams, ambitions and choices of your driver pave the road ahead so each run is a unique combination of races, chases, hazards and colorful characters.
- Each strategic decision impacts a variety of systems including who you meet along the way, what radio hosts say about you, fuel consumption, car condition and wanted level.

Mini-review incoming: 👀
Really enjoyed this one! The driving was fun, great soundtrack, loved the stylish visuals and the radio broadcasts as you drive through the open road at night was a vibe. With a new car unlocked for every act and different routes and scenarios to come across it never felt like a grind so I've got to commend the developers for making an enjoyable and unique driving game in this day and age! The visual-novel aspect worked well though I understand it might take up too much of the gameplay for those who just want to drive. I think it was balanced OK but some more variations in missions would have been nice. Still, nice game clearly made with heart and passion! 👍
Same here! Loved the music, style, radio etc Only complaint from me is that you can’t load your save once you beaten the game, forcing you to start a make a new save if you want to replay although I saw the devs plan to add new game + so that’s awesome they’re gonna update the game. Love supporting indie devs! Kinda a shame Hades 2 shadow dropped in the same week as this so that may have overshadowed this.
@@bunnie7187 This would have always been a small-scale release. The visual style alone made it a niche game in a world obsessed with "realistic" graphics. For an indie/budget game it's definitely a success but can't see people getting hyped about it too much, especially in this day and age. I'm definitely glad I tried it out!
Asphalt overdrive and need for speed the run combined game nice
0:38 steam notfication sound 😂

A racing game that is highly story driven, definitely something new and refreshing, sometimes it's not about the racing, it's about the meaning where you'll end up at the end of the road. Great vid will!
This is it,From black and white to full color to the end of the finish line.
I love the message passing into this game, when you have fear, your think than the only way is trying to escape, but this will only get worse, the effective way is facing your fear.
This is indeed, an extremely different driving game, I hope people get the point and doesn't falls into hands of reviewers who expect a Need for Speed kind of game.
granted it does seem like the thing NFS the Run was supposed to be.
The moment where the noir filter was gone was insane.
That ending was nice, the snap into clarity was very well placed
Well done Will!! This was such an incredible indie game!! I enjoyed this very much It was certainly not like any other racing/driving game I've ever seen in my life!! Hope the people behind this do more! Great job! =D
I'm starting to think Driver San Francisco wasn't just a reference to make this game, but a direct inspiration
From the yellow muscle cars, to the fact you can listen everyone talking from their cars, the racers, the cops, even pedestrians when you ram them or miss 'em by inches, and the voice that starts haunting you like Jericho nearing the end of San Francisco
Maybe even the blue trail the Yourself leaves behind during every final race reminds me of Jericho's Dodge Ram in the final mission during Tanner's coma
I'm guessing the last car is based on The First Gen Skyline Hakosuka
Bmw m3 with a merger of Datsun 510. Itless to me.
@@lotf5lordofthe595 bro the game says "japanese racer"
So…this is it,time to face the fear head on.
I be honest it's very different. Reminds me of Auto Modellista back in the 2000s but better with a story. I will definitely will play it.
this is an incredible game. I started act 4, and busted my GPU lol, tuned in here today to see the ending. damn good. it gives me chills, because I did something like this last year. tunred around to face the fear and won. this game is more than a game to me.
I will be honest
This game is very cool
It has Driver SA vibe
The story and journey you interacted with people is also nice
The gameplay has solid but a lot to be desire
I wished it has interesting counter during final race or racing with unique driver
Also, it would be nice if we drive to the next checkpoint instead rather than the game do for us. Maybe take a little bit like NFS The Run
But of course I'm not expecting this game to be another nfs game killer or something but having uniqueness and do a whole drive from the start to final checkpoint by ourselves would prolong the gameplay
That all and nice video!!
loce the cockpit view, notr many car games these days have decent onces. And just so I get this right, you play as a drifter, who drives to overcome his fear? And if see it right, the red lines on the "world map" are the police catching up?
The red line on the map is the character's "fear" catching up with them - something you're running away from. You have to keep moving to keep ahead of it whilst managing your focus, money and cop heat so it adds a nice amount of tension.
@@Willzyyy indeed
The Police appear in The map as a "dot with a badge inside" they will only try to catch you if
- steal gas
- speeding in highway, the Red line above your speedmeter is the speed limit, if you speeding, you can go to the destination more quickly but increase the fuel comsumption showing a - $5.00 in the money counter.
we started the game with a Dodge Charger only to end it with a Nissan, not even a 70s Slyline.
Are the songs didn't get copyrighted?
Nope, they're part of the original soundtrack.
I wish the devs put ALL the musics in RUclips, i fall in love by the music ending.
@@joaodasilva4174 do you know the ending song ?
@@hearamphanh.6176 unfortunately no.
Yea, Hakosuka.
That was quick.
That game is around 6 hours but can be longer if you fail runs (which I did a couple times). Decent length game for just $20!
Somebody cooked!
