We do this in our Hispanic Pentecostal church and I been told by my family members that we are out of style and no one does it like this here in the US. However God is one and He is never changing, He brakes down any barrier, Jesus is alive and since the day of Pentescost we have been called to praise in the Spirit even when people think we are odd. I am so happy so see my brethren not being ashamed to praise our God amen

Where can I begin? I wasn't raised in church. But I worshipped ideology. Grew up during the hippy days. Loved smoking weed. I would get emotional about football, cars, girls and other things. Joined the military to protect the ideology of living in a free country. Suffered PTSD. Studied astrology looking for answers and fell deeper into depression. Started searching for healing from my mental anguish in denominal churches and found nothing but frustration. I was invited to a little Apostolic church were I found that God was real and He loved me so much more than I deserved. I repented of my many sins and when He accepted my repentance He filled me with a joy that is unspeakable and full of glory. I spoke in a language that I didn't know as He spoke through me. Tears of joy rolling down my face. Yes, I get emotional about my LORD because I want to let Him know how much I love Him because THAT is the emotion I feel towards Him and nobody is going to tell me I can't just because they don't understand. As Thomas proclaimed, He is my LORD and my God. Jesus name baptized almost 36 years ago and still praising Him.

@@ElizabethRodRodriguez lol that's not what I meant by saying "no, it's not..." I was responding to the first line of her comment that said this was how one should dress to church. This is not how we ought to dress to church because dressing doesn't matter much to God as we think it does but to a group of people who erroneously believe that it is tied to the Pentecostal denomination. Honestly if I saw someone dress like this often, in this twenty second century it would freak me out. Modesty is of the heart and has nothing to do with the traditions of men, in this case denominational rules on clothing. Putting too much emphasis on the wrong things.
@@ElizabethRodRodriguez I wouldn't care if someone wore a short-short to church, as long as their hearts are pure. It doesn't make a difference. We have to get over the rudiments of this world unto maturity so we can have the revelations of heaven.
72 yrs young and i remember services like this when people worshipped the lord and were not ashamed to worship, seems today folks are to dignified to worship our Jesus bless his holy name!
I remember churches where the GLORY fell, folks got healed, folks came out of sin, folks dared to put the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY first, and were NOT offended at the mention of the BLOOD. It changed their focus, and GREW the Kingdom not a building fund or ministers legacy.
Yes I remember being at church hours while my grand parents prayed till the person got the holy ghost sure miss those services so thankful I grew up this way...
The original orthodox church was a Pentecostal by experience non trinitarian church that baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and followed the way of holiness....
Early church history was not written accurately.....early church history was written as a lie just l8ke the catholics turned the truth into a lie....both the truth and history are written as lies or inaccurately....
The catholics condemned the early Pentecostals calling them some derogatory words like modalists or sebellianists....making them look totally off the wall....but as usual catholic interpretations of scripture and history are lies....
They were not modalists or sebellianists.....they were Pentecostal by experience Christians.....that were hated by tge catholic gate of hell for his name sake....because these Pentecostals wouldn't take the catholic interpretation of water baptism in the trinity of titles.....they only baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and were hated for his name sake and were evil spoken of using terms like heretic or modalists
Imagine how Lutherans feel about this they have been using organs and hymns with processions for 500yrs. No need for the flair, just the gospel, simple .

Most definitely get baptized by water and Spirit.
Salvation is not in water baptism nor a certain baptism formula. Salvation is trusting exclusively in the Finished Work that Christ did on the Cross. Not a cult like the upc

I’m a Christian. And I was baptized according to the way that the Bible gives it. In the name of the Father and Son and the Holy Spirit. But my faith is not in the manner in which I was baptized, but my faith is in Jesus Christ and Him Crucified.

And didnt He say that if you were not baptized you would not see the Kingdom of God? Baptism is very important, and the way you are baptized is very very important. Theres absolutely no power in titles. There's only power is the NAME of Jesus. Acts 4:12. Baptism is the way to Salvation. Applying the Name to your life and the blood to wash away your sins. Only in the name of Jesus.
The Holy Spirit & Jesus are two different persons of the Trinity.

Being Pentecostal isn't just about emotion to be excited it means being baptized in the Holy Ghost there's so many dead churches because they refuse the presence of the Holy Spirit they limit Jesus Christ's ability to truly change lives I mean Jesus Christ talked about the children that praised him they were a witness they got palm branches and they were excited Jesus Christ was riding through their town.
The holy spirit moves us to life if people can get excited about a football game if people can get excited about going to Disneyland they should be more than excited they know Jesus Christ and are going to heaven

I attended this church in Stockton CA when I lived there. I grew up in a United Pentecostal family and I AM SO GLAD! Jesus is my LORD & SAVIOUR!!! We worship HIM in spirit and truth! We know HOW to give HIM praise!! Hallelujah!!!

I was born and raised in a Baptist church, but I learned real quick. I love this song. I want to get up and shout and dance. In Psalms, David said that we are to shout unto the Lord with songs and praise. Hallelujah! Praise His mighty name. I wish there was a church around where I live that had the fire that this church seems to have. What a blessing.

I think you misunderstood the song. They are celebrating the belief of the day of Pentecost in Acts 2. Other denominations say it was only a past experience. So to celebrate being Pentecostal or Apostolic is deeper than a "denomination." It means we celebrate not discrediting the book of Acts, neccesity of water baptism Acts 2:38, miracles, the power of the Holy Ghost, speaking in tongues as the initial sign/evidence of the Spirit. Acts 2, Acts 8, Acts 10, Acts 19. They are celebrating standing firm on the Bible and not changing over time. Though I understand how you thought they were merely celebrating a denomination. Not trying to change your opinion but bring clarity on why we celebrate.

There is a lot scripture on One God, One Throne. John 1 in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. Gen 1 God moved upon the face of the waters (Holy Spirit). Hes always been one from the beginning of time. Trinity just tries to make people understand spiritual matters. But it is a revelation that can only come from God. To be baptized In the name of the Father Son and Holy Ghost is to be baptized in the singular name of Jesus. The application is found all throughout the book of Acts. They are baptizing in Jesus name. Jesus is God manifested (made seen) in the flesh. He never changed. Search the scriptures. Im no scholar, but may the love of His Word be greater than tradition.

Today's church services are based on soft, emotional background music, soft, feel good words and no longer masculine like it used to be.
This is what happens when you actually get a hold of God and allow HIM to have hold on you. You get outside of yourself and you find the ability to worship God with everything you have and pour out everything inside to Him. So many have gotten too refined and to defined by their stoic actions in a service. David danced before the Lord and was mocked and he did not have the power of God in him only on him. We need more of the book of ACTS!!!!!

I'm a Pentecostal from Ukraine who prays in tongues and believes that God speaks through prophecies today. We came to the United States for the religious freedom here after the persecution in the communistic, atheistic Soviet Union. I personally know people who went to prison for their faith, "underground" church gatherings, KGB spies, Bible searches, etc. However I cannot understand this branch of American Pentecostalism. I cannot imagine the original Pentecostals bring filled with such a "spirit" where they dance and clap like that! The Holy Spirit is gentle, is it not? I cannot imagine Jesus acting this way either. May God give everyone wisdom, myself included, to truly follow His path and to listen to the Holy Spirit. May God bless all in this!

34 years ago I walked into a Pentecostal Apostolic Church, repented of my sins, was baptized in Jesus’ name and received God’s spirit, the Holy Ghost. Born and raised in a Mormon Church, i tossed the Doctrine and Covenants, the Book of Mormon and the Great Pearl of Price. A sister gave me Bible and a couple gave me Bible Study. Jesus is my Rock, my anchor through every storm. Divorce once and cancer twice. I’m on my way to Heaven and I’m so glad. Amen

Please note the long dresses, simple shoes no jewelry, and no makeup. Spent many a night and Sundays in a Pentecostal Church. Our piano player seemed to play something like Jimmy Swaggart and when those people got started there was no stopping. Services did not end on schedule.

Church don’t ever waver from apostolic doctrine nor the Pentecostal true experience.
I was raised in church all my life and when I was 23 years old a Pentecostal evangelist came to my living room and the first thing I ask what do I have to speak in tongues to be saved and he said yes. I said I need to go to the church now And I got baptized in Jesus name and filled with the Holy Ghost at a rally a month later in 1993. Yes there’s been battles there’s been ups and downs there’s been sin and confession but praise the Lord he never left me he never took back his Holy Spirit and today I’m still a one god tongue talking holy Rolling, Jesus name child of God.
The Holy Ghost has brought me this far and kept me lead and guide me and I’m so thankful that I’m an apostolic Pentecostal.
