Mate, not sure if you still read these comments, but you've done God(zilla)'s work uploading these. I was born in 1990, which means I'm from the generation that grew up idolising JDM cars, but I was too young to see the R32 dominate racetracks around the world. Thank you for sharing this automotive history for us. Also, what a treat to have Skaie's insight on what the car was like to drive.
@@Super100MPH yeh mate it really makes a difference for us learning the history . Started sim racing in the atcc on assetto corsa and its fun doing the history while pretending to race at sandown
Brock in his prime. That Vn was a rocket. Yeah sure we all know the Nissan gtr story, but to keep up with an all wheel drive in race trim shows what a supreme driver he was
The touring car racing during this time was just the shit. DTM, BTCC, Australian boys. Throw in some bad ass JGTC and this is absolutely the golden era. Plus, young Skaife giving us wonderful commentary.
That GTR is a marvellous thing, just like the Alfa 155 DTM. Something that isn´t allowed in todays cookie-cutter racing. Not that I don´t like modern motorsports, far from it, I love it. But I do wish they allowed more variety nowadays.

Thank you so much for all the work you put into providing us with vintage motorsports... FOR FREE!
I really appreciate it, as will many others.
You're always welcome!

I think due to awd system it was more like the audi v8 from dtm in the early 90's
I like both brands nissan alfa romeo and audi i get sick seeing everytime bmw , mercedes this and that tho.
Everytime I see footage of the VN Commodore, dark grey exhaust is belching out of the pipes. They must've run those motors VERY rich
How can you get Perkin's and Brock mixed up.It was Perkins behiend the HRT car
Where is Super100?
The grocery getter beating the $500k+ race cars😄
where were the factory GTR's of skaife and Rchards?
They didn't enter Sandown in 1991. Some of the crew were there helping the GIO team while Skaife was in the ABC commentary box.
They saved the cars for Bathurst, and we know how that turned out 😉
Were the Commodores running IRS or solid axle?
Solid live axle.
Peter Brock proving its not the car but the driver that makes the difference , Bloke in the GTR had all the advantage but Brock was a better driver.
If they could've just got rid of the Seton luck somehow 🤦♂️
