Back then I didn't know if using that invincible jar worked similar to how the invisibility didn't, so I ended up using my The End I.D. to be underneath until it was time to jump out and steal (usually failed and took damage) lmao I did it for my father and brother too so they could forge Death's Scythe. My brother's favorite weapon in the game.
After at least an hour of trial and error... I finally did it the perfect guard way! (Lv.4 Heal helps a lot since perfect guards restore hearts) When Death prepares his fireball, stand as close as possible. Count around 2,5 seconds after the fireball hits the ground before doing the first perfect guard. You have to perfect guard 9 times with a 0,5s interval between each guard. Right after the 9th perfect guard, mash the Steal button. You do not need to jump. I missed the steal twice because the steal window is incredibly short. Got it the third time I got the perfect guards right :)
I feel kinda lucky i fought him about 4 or 5 times before i got it i did the jump grab & finally got it but i could fly threw the bosses & try again fairly fast cuz how powerful my innocent devils are, my Crimson (3 gen) its magic is 242 which i believe goes into its attacks & very powerful.
The Perfect Guard method is the way IGA intended for you to get it, since the steal window appears right after the attack ends and doing that puts you right in front of Death.

I spent 1 & half hour trying to steal Death's Pulse, I beat Death down to last tiny bit of health in less than 10 min, then it's all patiently trying to steal; spent almost all health item, $20000 to stay alive with Tiramisu's Gold Heal, then Tiramisu's Invinsible vase, Devil's Magic cycle, Perfect Guard, I use all, timing is the major problem, I believe the opening window is only 2 sec long; finally invinsible vase, use it 3 sec after fire appears in Death's hand, then when I succeed, Die Death
Interesting. But I still use perfect guard. In normal game, the damage is minimum. Even if you screw up and Hector take some damage, he can recover and keep his aproaching.
holy shit! really!!?!?!?! damn it Ive been trying to perfect guard Death's super nova attack in rhythmical way. I always get snagged at the last damage it does damn. well better go and level up my Tiramisu XD uhhhm what level does the tiramisu fairy get invincible vase?

figth dullahan you need to be near before he does the jump because he opens the steal when he is coming down from the jump there you must to steal the purple gliter
@kingoniranger hey this is much easier, get a new battle type and turn it into an Iytei(90 special crystals from golem) and pwr lvl it and use aurar blast, it his about 400 damage near lvl 60 or so

Supposedly there's also a method if you Perfect Guard all ten hits of his entire attack.
I heard seven, but even if it's true, this is the easiest method.

i think the best choice to end huge bosses like this is using rip press... it does 1k total damage on lv80

You need to steal from isaac, the sword is caller laser blade( i think)
Laser Blade? I think, if I'm not mistaken, you need to have 6-7 different swords and combine them with the purple glitter you steal from the Dullahan
