When did you download it? It’s tough to troubleshoot these kinds of things, but my assumption is you need to drag the max devices into the session first, save them, and then drag the adg file in. After I initially posted the rack on gumroad, a couple people had issues, and that’s my best guess as to what the issue is. So if you didn’t get the updated version, which comes with the adg file, as well as the max devices separately in a folder, go redownload and try that. As to why the band split: multiband dynamics isn’t linear phase. The band split devices uses a method of splitting the bands that maintains phase. Whether you prefer linear phase or not is a personal thing, and depends on the situation, but the god particle is linear phase, so that was the reason
Came for the name, stayed for the great explanation! Do you have anywhere where you talk about how to get the Oxford Inflator sound from the stock Saturator effect? That’s definitely piqued my interest if it’s pretty close sounding.
i don't have a video where i talk about it, but its literally just the soft sine, drive at 0, and then set the output to -1.33. thats it. lol it nulls to about -69db, so its not perfect, but if you just AB'd between them you wouldn't be able to hear a difference

It’s called Screen Studio. It’s sort of limited, but what it can do, it does really well. It automatically zooms when you click on things, and follows your mouse. I recorded the face cam separately, cause apples continuity camera is a little buggy in Screen Studio, but technically you can use your iPhone as a wireless webcam, and it bakes it into the video in this nifty dynamic way haha
Between macros and chains I recreated in Live with some M4L devices a CBA Mood :) but the GUI is very human, it you’re interested in the project and want to release it commercially (sadly it didn’t get the response I thought it would), make a nice GUI, we can get in touch!
I got the rack! Only problem is, Live can't locate the max device you made. Is there something I did wrong? I just put the .adg file in my user library, but it says the .amxd file is missing
Oooooooooo. Interesting. So I replaced the files, but this time, the rack, and max device are both in the folder, and zipped. So hop back on Gumroad, and go to your library and download them again and let me know. I’d drag the max device in first, save it, and then drag the rack in and see if it works 👍🏻
@@Randuski It worked! the only thing I had to do is locate the bandsplit max device, since the one you used in your rack had a -1 at the end of the file name, but now everything else works great!
@@alsoeris planned to show it, but I got swamped with other stuff, and my free trial ran out. But it’s impossible to completely null. The god particle is a hardware analog eq, and I’m recreating it with stock Ableton stuff. The null test resulted in 10-20db less signal, depending on the setting.
the god particle is absolute hype garbage. P.s for science sake: does it null? that means technically recreating it (signal is mathematical identical so flipping the polarity creates perfect cancellation with the og one).
Well if you understand it’s hyped, then you understand why I would make a stock version of it. Saving people 150 bucks. I wouldn’t say it’s garbage tho. Generally it sounds pretty nice, although I think the limiter isn’t very good. The Ableton limiter in 12.1 is better. I think that’s a huge letdown with the plugin personally. Does it null? No. Flipping the polarity results in a sum that’s -10 to -20db, depending on how you have things set. My goal was to get them to cancel as much as I could at 100% amount, and 200% amount settings. The eq bands are matched almost perfectly, but the multiband compression is harder to pin down. There’s a lot of variables with multiband compression that make it much more difficult to match. The saturation the god particle creates is also almost exactly the same as my rack, although I added the ability to blend the saturation amount. It’s a $5 recreation, and $3 of that is because I made a little max for live device. My initial plan was to actually show the AB tests, and demonstrate with a phase inverted signal, and go more in depth, but life got busy, and the trial for the god particle ran out, and I really didn’t wanna buy the plugin.
@@Ilove1073s it’s not a bad plugin. I’m very much the kind of person who’s like “you don’t need to buy expensive plugins, learn the tools you have”. I do particularly like the character it adds. It sounds nice. But the limiter portion of it isn’t up to snuff. Which, considering it’s a mastering plugin, I would expect the limiter to be great

Pretty minimal haha latency is 0. My main concern was how efficient my little macro device is, but it seems to be pretty solid
