This song can connect with everyone looking for that thing that will make them feel complete in their lives rich poor old young everyone has had that feeling
Looking back at where it all started to now, anyone still standing from past and current pain who’s living in 2023 I salute y’all for staying alive. I thank cudi everyday for helping me as a child and still from this day
First time i'm seeing kid kudi live cuz i know the song from steve aoki remix and kid kudi is just awesome to watch,i love it how he does with his hands when he sings
For those of you hating on ratatat obviously know nothing...... Their the real talent behind this song..... and kid cudi is smart enough to realize this, and you should too
that live was the first time i heard that song , MOTM had not made yet , and i got that song in my mind all days long, the track did not exist so i watched that video every time i was at home.
Comment makes no sense. Cudi was pushing the envelope of the genre here and his influence is everywhere now, but back then I guarantee that nobody thought "this is what hiphop's supposed to sound like". He doesn't even rap on this track, he sings.. People who hate on the new sounds of hiphop now, would've hated this back when it came out.
@Seb590 i enjoy it either way. it is one of my top 5 songs ever. when I hear it, i dont know whether to feel good or cry. I usually do both. cudi makes me feel like hes talkin to me in every song. genius.
@wiinerd1234 i feel you i love mgmt but after seeing ratatat live it made me see how talent they are i mean mgmt can't touch them and this is coming from a huge mgmt fan
Growing up in a Christian home... hearing a non-cussing version... (I came out as gay & cuss mind you), this version is amazing! There is so much emotion. I'm glad Kid Cudi decided to be culturally sensitive to his audience.
This song is so versatile I would literally want this played at my funeral, party, wedding, etc
exactly Depending on how your feeling its an upbeat song and can also be a sad song

I absolutely LOVE that he censored the "driving drunk" and "fuck that" parts, but not the part about weed. Such a badass.

2:27 blessed
He honestly can't say "driving drunk?"
They probably wouldn't allow him to. It's a touchy thing to some people.
It’s illegal lol
Ratatat made this song what it is, Kid Cudi only brought their musical genius to the mainstream scene
