Jonah 3: 10," And God saw their *works* that they turned from their wicked way and God repented of the evil that He had said that He would do unto them and He did it not." Repentance of sins is works. @@colonalklink14 the simple fact of receiving the gospel of Christ and deciding to follow Jesus requires a "work" from you. An "action". You have to do something to be saved, and it is to received Jesus (which you can consider a work if you want to as well as asking forgiveness to christ.) Those are the first steps for every believers: does it mean that you are saved by works? Clearly, not. Anyway, God bless you, but remember, anyone who is reading this, for Jesus made it very simple: REPENT, and BELIEVE the good news (Jesus said that in Mark 1, 15.). You have the power to choose Jesus or to reject him, and that choice will define your eternal destination. Everything that you will do then to honor christ and to obey him will show that you truly were honest when you decided to follow him. However, they will never open the gates of heaven for you: those works will just show that you truly are devoted to him.
