ROYGBIV by Public Service Broadcasting.
J. Willgoose, Esq. and Wrigglesworth sample old public information films and archive material and set them to new music. Live, the films are screened simultaneously as laptops are fiddled with, drums are pounded, theremins are wafted at, guitars are bashed and banjos furiously plucked. Teaching the lessons of the past through the music of the future.

Incredible band. They haven't released a single song, a single track; every last thing is an entire concept. Ingenious.
I was expecting a BoC cover.
I was however, not displeased.
Just plants a great big cheesy grin in my face which grows and by the time I hear the banjo I ain't getting any higher. Drug free completely sober. This is all ya need. The album is a triumph an instant classic.
Was recently introduced to this by my son..Im going to see them in Aviemore on Sunday wow I love them already :) Happy music
I can't figure out if I like these guys or not, but I can't seem to stop listening to their tracks, so I guess that says something. Very original.

Album arrived yesterday and its rather fucking good. Great British nostalgia is always warming and bounces along on nice beats ;-)
Love them graphics especially when you see the tv valves in the block . It just looks amazing.
Love hearing snips of events of my life and prior set to music, music which sends my mind easy if not sometimes sad and nostalgic. Just epic.

Reminds me of The Books. In a really good way. Actually thought it was gonna be a BoC cover but this is great in its own right. Also not comparable in any way.
The other two tracks called ROYGBIV and ROY G BIV have 1 and a half million views each.

don't get me wrong, its a very well written track, better than anything i'd make, but its just too close to boards of canada/lemon jelly for me. they even take the title from boc and the video is a replica of any of the many boc fanmade videos.

Why? Presumably because PSB are far more musically interesting, way more charismatic and generally far more charming with much more to say both visually and musically. 'Track lifted from Boards of Canada'. What total nonsense. ROYGBIV is an acronym thats been used in physics for decades. Its been used as book titles, song titles and in various other contexts long before the Boards of Canada used it. They certainly can't claim to have any proprietorship of its use.
