      I ordered my tent from Outdoor World Direct uk. Took about 2 weeks and had to go through customs but it was worth it. I'm in California BTW.

    I love this tent so much that I'm buying the anantara iv TC!! The studio large is a big reason for it. I think that extra room from the studio is well worth the investment. The side door from the porch area is also a big plus. And the mesh doors on porch front door. Which is why I'm going with Vango over outdoor revolution Kalahari or the outwell.

      The side door from the porch, mesh on front porch and studio large.. are they only on the IV version?

    would love to see a video on how these tents do in the rain from inside and there is never any mention on how waterproof the TC version is always talking about how waterproof the air version is and there are no videos of them in a rain storm showing off how weatherproof they are also might be helpful to see an air and tc version set up with temp monitor inside for comparison on how much cooler the TC fabric is. Is there hydrostatic number on the TC fabric how does it compare to the air versions as far as weatherproof is concerned

      All good questions. Unfortunately unless there is an unbiased reviewer ready to purchase both tents and do the tests than we won't ever know. I looked far and wide for reviews/tests like what you mentioned also but got nothing. I'm really surprised that there aren't a lot of owner reviews of this tent.

    Mesh on the outside? So will it not trap water between it and the PVC?

    • @AttwoollsCoUk
      @AttwoollsCoUk  9 месяцев назад

      The mesh is on the top layer but it doesn’t trap the water as it can easily come through the mesh. There maybe the very smallest amount between the mesh but it would dry off incredibly quickly once in the sun. This design had been used by certain other brands for 6 years, so we know it works well.

    Hi. Would the bedrooms fit the illusion 800XL TC? I'd love to have the black out bedrooms but I'm not sure if they fit. Love the video.

    • @AttwoollsCoUk
      @AttwoollsCoUk  3 года назад +1

      Unfortunately the bedrooms wouldn’t fit as they are larger as well as have different hanging point locations.

    Hi, can you tell me when pegging this are the pegs supposed to go through the loop at the end of the fabric or the d-ring?

    • @AttwoollsCoUk
      @AttwoollsCoUk  Год назад

      The tent is designed to be pegged through the D rings but I can appreciate that sometime it’s hard peg through them if you have plastic pegs.

    Hi. At 7.10 in the video, you mention about a new 2021 awning that also has the multifunctional door with mesh panels. I can’t find any company that does this including attwoolls. Do you have any more info on this as we’re looking at getting the anantara iii. Thanks

    • @AttwoollsCoUk
      @AttwoollsCoUk  3 года назад

      At the time of filming Vango we’re looking to do a front awning which had this multifunctional mesh front but with production & shipping issues this year it doesn’t seem that any have been made or available. It might be something that Vango end up bring out for 2022 but at this moment in time we don’t really know. Sorry.

    Between this and the Outwell Wood Lake 7ATC Tent 2021...

      I'm a complete noob at camping, what makes these 2 some of the best??

    • @speedmatters
      @speedmatters 3 года назад +5

      @@summerjunk929 They're two of the biggest polycotton tents from well know manufacturers. They have all the 'luxury' *laugh* features that cheaper tents tend to skimp on; zipped cloth curtains (you are really spoling us Mr. Ambasador), light hanging points (revolutionary) , single point inflation for us lazy folk (useful), tinted windows (so you cook slower in the south of france and people have less chance of seeing you walk around naked), reflective guide lines (that you'll still trip over after a whisky or two), bedrooms actually long enough for a human being (ie over 210cm, 230-45cm is business class for tents), holes for electrical cable access (bourgeois) and lots of small, helpful details that you can tell that someone who camps a lot, has actually paid attention to. Either one should last a minimum of 10+ years of family camping trips. I have a canvas family tent from the 70's that still as good as new and waterproof my other Outwell polycotton is going strong after 10 years, with no damage at all. Lastly, the polycotton really is a must for any degree of relative comfort when camping for more than a cuple of nights. They are so much quieter, warmer in cold weather, cooler in warmer weather, more waterproof and more durable than polyester tents. It really does make a huge difference. Unless you have a coulple of kids in your family, you might want to start with a smaller version. These tents are incredibly heavy.

      @@speedmatters fantastic! thanks for taking the time to write that. We have 2 kids who are quite small at the moment but I'd like to future proof the purchase. Think I'm gonna pull the trigger on the Outwell for no other reason than I like how it looks. It doesn't have single point inflation but with an electric pump it can't be that much of a pain in arse?

    • @speedmatters
      @speedmatters 3 года назад +4

      @@summerjunk929 Great choice. We have two small kids too. I love the way the Wood Lake looks, it's really stylish and the colour is great. I just placed an order for this Vango after bouncing between the two for weeks, just for the slightly smaller footprint and the slightly higher side arches. I'm 6'3" and love the high sides and really long bedroom space, the side door porch covers and the fact that they are a Scottish company and repairs or warranty claims might be easier than the Outwell (based in Denmark). I'll probably change my mind again in a minute because there's no doubt that the ourwell looks better :) I wish you the best of fun camping with the kids as soon as the weather improves.

    hello do you have a tent that will serve to Brazil with more ventilation?

    • @AttwoollsCoUk
      @AttwoollsCoUk  3 года назад

      Unfortunately not, these tents have really been designed for European climates. So even though you could use them elsewhere you may find that it wouldn’t perform as well as a fully canvas version with additional ventilation.
