I sure hope you enjoy today’s video. I’m really happy with how these botanical projects turned out. PLEASE, if you know what that weird rack is, let me know. It really has me stumped! BTW thanks for letting me know that the brass round “frame” in a previous video is a decorative bracket used where a stove pipe connects to the wall! Who knew?!
I must say I wasn't a fan of the plaster over the butterflies, but I'm so glad you showed it, my projects don't always turn out the way I envision, it's good to know I'm not the only one. I'm curious to see what you wanted it to be... I love the lantern/nest and the basket clock. (loved the beads)
The beads are not juvenile but i didnt think the basket clock needed them. It was beautiful without. Thank you for this video , it is always a lovely Monday afternoon with CANTERBURY and a cup of tea. Thank you Sherry
I just love the clock basket…….think the letters were ok but I would have left them off. Your twig lantern was so awesome. I really need to create one for my porch. Always enjoy your videos.
I really liked the blue basket with the clock face. I don't believe I would have used the "spring time" pieces, not because I thought they were juvenile, but because the piece didn't need them and they were so white against the pretty color of the basket. I truly enjoy all of your projects and you do make me want to try to do some myself.
Oh thank you! I have received a few suggestions as to what that might have been used for, but I’m beginning to wonder if I am missing some parts of it.
I love William Morris designs, so thank you for providing the link. I have a box ready for updating! I didn't care for the joint compound butterfly project as it lost a lot of the butterfly shape, but I loved the individual peat pot, the metal flower, and the butterfly birdcage. I also liked the basket clock but I would have used a small amount of babies breath instead of the beads. Thank you for your creative inspiration Sherry!
So much that I loved. The lantern blew me away once you were done. Love the birdcage and butterflies, the weird wall thing is adorable, and basket clock is lovely. The only thing I was a little mew about was the plaster butterflies. I liked them just glued to the sign without the plaster but that’s just me. Thanks!!
Thank you so much! I thought those “plaster” butterflies were going to turn out so good, but that project just didn’t end up looking like I had envisioned.
You've been working hard at creating once again. Very inspiring and you are certainly making us look forward to Spring! My favourite project this week was the carved wooden plaque decorated with the butterfly and hooks. Pretty and practical! Take care, see you next time!
You’re like some kind of divine DIY Oracle!!! I so appreciate the innovation with which you approach all your projects….thank you for being so inspiring! 🥰
I love that you just jump in and experiment with elements that are not the 'same old thing'. I think the plaster butterflies were better before adding the wax.
I loved all but that one butterfly and caulk. My favorite was probably the metal flower with the center of a sunflower and stuck in the piece of wood !! You are absolutely so creative! I always look forward to Monday!
Thanks so much 😊 Gail, I think that metal flower was my favorite project, too. At first, I was only going to use the butterflies and throw away the flower. I’m so glad that I decided to save it.
My favourite is the wooden semi circle with the butterfly attached to it and the two hooks at the bottom. I also love the decoupaged butterflies just on their own. You have a good good eye for recycling things! Keep up the good good work. ❤
Love all your projects. However, I think I like more the fact that you show your creative process and that sometimes even you wonder if you detoured off the path. That is what crafting, or actually any art is; it’s about exploring the possibilities!!
Thank you, V! I really appreciate those words of encouragement. I did like the butterflies better white, but I can easily paint them white again! In fact, I’ll think I’ll try this project again and make a few changes.
@@CanterburyCottage it’s the process and I appreciate you sharing because I think it’s an awesome idea. Sometimes it takes a couple tries to create your vision. Maybe a thinner plaster mixture. Would also be pretty, using watercolor or art chalks for some slight color. Have you ever used chalks? Not pastels. I’ve used them for years on paper crafts and you have great control with them. You can even erase it. Just a thought. ❤❤❤
Thanks, Lanet! I’m going to have to try this project over again. I really think I can do it better. I need plastic butterflies instead of fabric ones, too!
Oh you did it again, the clock in the suitcase was brilliant, which I did not think could be out done...the clock in the basket was just as clever ❤ Thanks for sharing your creativity.
I absolutely loved the stick/twig lantern. It’s amazing the things we can create using such humble items. I’m also a fan of William Morris and the box was a great way to highlight his art. Thanks again for your videos!!
We re only LIMITED by our IMAGINATION. But you aren't LIMITED by yours!! So exciting , so inspirational. I love out door nature ideas. I love birds & nests. All the apothecary ideas. Always excited about the clock ideas. ♥️♥️♥️ you are a hidden treasure yourself!!
I had to smile when you upcycled the sunflower center. I had some centerless sunflowers that I wanted to use. I put a good coat of Tacky Glue in the center and added coffee grounds! Worked well and smelled good, too! Personally, I like alphabet beads! The peat pots were adorable! I liked the Wm Morris box, too!
The beads are very vintage. When my siblings and I were born, the hospital made bracelets with our last name spelled out with beads just like you used! I am definitely making the lantern!! Everything you created was lovely!
I love the idea behind the plastered butterfly piece. I actually liked it and agree that it needed some dark to bring out the details. I’m going to try it with some fern leaves and see if sealing it really well before antiquing, then buffing the high spots back to white will work. Thanks for the prompt!
I liked the basket clock up to the point where you added the letters. I loved the transfer.Thank you for all your videos, I really enjoy them. You are very talented. Thanks again.
Sherry...you have again outdone yourself...I am sitting here watching for the 2nd time...complete with jaw dropping...! That tree branch lantern is MAGNIFICENT...and I will be using this idea to create some outdoor lanterns, natural stem tomato and vine cages and cloches for my outdoor porch transformation...going with a very French country theme this year...wish me luck..lol...with these incredible ideas and your inspiration, I don't know how I could go wrong!! Those precious peat pots...I am going to use this idea to make my own for 2 cast iron shelves I have flanking my porch...the shelves are small...these are PERFECT sizes for those shelves! I cannot wait to get started...now, if it would only stop raining! Thank you so so much for your ideas..your sweet encouragement...I look forward to your weekly DIYS so very very much! Love and hugs!
Thank you so much, Janet! 😊 I love your idea of a French country porch theme ,and cast iron shelves is the perfect starting spot! Wish I could see how it turns out. Perhaps, you could post a picture to my Facebook group page?
I like the tiny beads. They remind me of the bracelet that was put on my wrist at the hospital when I was born. I absolutely love all of your inspirations!
My daughter loved the library throw and she was stumped on some of the quotes. Your projects were beautiful , I think I liked the butterfly plaque all white better. Don't you just love Spring.? With your exceptional mind the sky's the limit!
Love them all. I love to watch you work. It comes so natural for you. Use to be I wasn't very fond of Mondays but you changed all that. Love ya Sherry. God Bless.
Your stick lantern is so sweet! I would love to see another one with the faux mushrooms in it. I'm really loving everything botanical now and the IOD transfers make everything a work of art! It's so enjoyable watching you work. I particularly love your miniatures! No one does it better! Thank you for sharing!
Everything was absolutely lovely. I've always loved to decorate and to craft with images of botanicals and birds. It's so whimsical and cottage core and so perfect for spring. Thank you for always being so kind and inspiring and sharing your talents. God bless!
I love all of your craft ideas. I especially liked the lantern. I recently pruned a tree in my yard and saved all sizes of sticks from it. I am definitely going to try my hand at it. I also loved the bird house with the butterflies. I love how you are nature inspired. Thank you for inspiring me.
Good morning Sherry. You never disappoint. Firstly, I would paint the butterfly display (the first one you did) all white. I think it looked better that way. I loved the basket clock, butterfly wall decor and the hanging pot display. However, I think my favorite was the decoupaged butterflies in the bird cage. All so lovely!
Spring 'TIME' on the 'CLOCK' basket is adorable. Those particular beads are a bit distracting for this project... I wanted to see the three butterflies more clearly under the compound and definitely all white in color.... Only because you asked.😊 Almost all sold so quickly!
Sherry, I like the beads that say “springtime” since “time” references the clock inserted in the basket. I like a bit of whimsy in each room, and I absolutely love one of a kind, unique decor. Mass produced anything doesn’t do it for me.
You are so fabulously original! Love that you have such original ideas ❤️ Could the weird shelf have once been a serving tray? I was thinking that there could have been a piece of glass or ceramic rectangular shelf that went over the squares to make it a double tier and then you’d have two handles to move it. I do love that room! I did my office in what they call dark academia two years ago. When i told the painter I would like dark green, he spent forever trying to convince me of a light green instead. I'm glad I didn't change my mind because I love it in dark green. I combined it with tartan fabrics and such. I have very little money to work with, but in the end, I do like the way it turned out and it's one of my favorite styles.
I definitely preferred the butterfly artwork in white. It might look good just painting the center in dark Gray then use white wax. You’re so creative! The wall decor with the hooks and butterfly look so good! The rack looks like a wine rack maybe… Peat pot turned out so cute! I use the same style for my spring decor. I’m obsessed with William Morris designs!! Love your wood box, hope you don’t mind me borrowing this one. Thanks
I think what you have is a metal frame for a casserole dish. Multiple casseroles for entertainment. I have about 5 of them and you have given me an idea or two. ❤❤❤
Good evening, Sherry! Everything turned out beautifully, as always. I especially love the branch lantern, the painted clock basket ( the blocks are charming) and the Wm. Morris box. Thank you for inspiring and sharing. ❤ xoxo Bobbie.
Good evening, Bobbie! Thank you for those kind comments. It has been a long afternoon. I had to upload my video three different times today due to copyright claims against the music I had chosen (that I thought was copyright free)! I’m so glad that you enjoyed today’s projects! Take care, sweet friend!
The little peat pots are soooooo cute. I too am an enthusiastic fan of Wm Morris and because of this vid, I learned that I could avail myself of his wonderful designs.
I love the 3 butterfly sign concept, but I think you are right, needs to go back to white but maybe use something else to bring out the details of the butterflies because the white by itself created a washed out effect. Love all of these projects! The natural lantern is so pretty!
Loved the clock basket, very delicate...the white butterflies not so much. Put it away and maybe rethink later. I live in the woods and gathered plenty of "materials" for a fairy house. Just used sticks and hot glue...it came out just like a pinterest picture but I need to get a brad nailer, much smarter. The shelf thing is a mystery. Love watching.
Another creative bunch of projects. My favorites are the peat pot basket and the box at the end. I thought the plastered butterflies looked cuter before you put the plaster on, just the painted white butterflies against the black background. You are so creative. I don't know how you come up with so many unique ideas every week
Each piece was adorable. It’s toss up as a favorite. The wall plaque with the pete moss pots n the box. I love boxes n doesn’t matter what size. What you did with that one with paper was so pretty. Sherry you always amaze me with your DIY’s. You must have a zillion ideas dancing around your head. ♥️😊👍🌟
Hi sherry I love all of these! When it comes to transfers no matter what paint/stain/wax surface I'm adding them too, I always do a thick base coat to prime to keep smudging, pulling of paint from happening..it helps alot or any primer spray
Loved the stick lantern but the butterfly mount didn't catch my eye. The clock basket was adorable but I didn't care for the little beads. The butterfly hanger is GORGEOUS!! I think hat one piece was a table decor that had clear vases in each opening. I like the little peat pot basket. OBSESSED with the white birdhouse/butterfly piece!! The cigar box turned out beautifully! Thank you for another great video and amazing inspiration. ❤
the 3 butterfly bas-relief picture: maybe you could paint the butterflies a darker contrasting color and then paint the off white paint over them and the background. then when you sand them lightly, the under color will show through nicely. the wood and metal rack gizmo...perhaps it had 5 of those square glass candle holders in the squares, suspended slightly above the wood underneath, to be used as a centerpiece on a table? curious, for sure!!! what you did with it came out super cute! @ 11:17, the wooden wall rack is my fave today! *thank you Sherry for sharing all of these upcycled projects.*
Hi Sherry, wonderful work! I have crafted with my mom since I was a child & finally I am going to open my own store. I was wondering if you would do a video, showing what you make that are your best sells? I am doing a lot with wood & my husband does furniture. Thank you 🤗
Love these and can’t make up my mind which was really my favorite. The butterfly birdcage was so beautiful and the weird thing with the peat pots turned out amazing. ❤️
I love that stick lantern! I like most of your designs, however I find adding words to natural looking projects to be distracting from the look of nature that I love. Your artistic designs are so charming... keep up the good work!
I sure hope you enjoy today’s video. I’m really happy with how these botanical projects turned out. PLEASE, if you know what that weird rack is, let me know. It really has me stumped! I’m wondering if the weird rack is actually a small table top ironing board?
A very beautiful stove pipe bracket frame indeed!
I do believe you will come back with a new idea that will blow us away with it!!!

I liked the butterflies white as well
Hi Sherry, wonderful work!
Thank you, Margaret! I hope someone can tell me what that weird thing is; it really has me stumped!
@@CanterburyCottage I had no clue. It was totally different from anything I’ve seen.
@@margaretdillinger5090 Glad I’m not the only one who is clueless!
My favorite was the shelf? with the peat pots. Loved the bird transfer peeking out
Oh, thank you, Lory! 😊
Once again, Sherry, all your creations are very clever and beautiful!
I loved the birdhouse/butterfly arrangement but I really liked them all!!!❤
So lovely to see your Spring ideas… thank you
Thank you! 😊
I love that stick lantern! I like most of your designs, however I find adding words to natural looking projects to be distracting from the look of nature that I love. Your artistic designs are so charming... keep up the good work!
Botanical decor, show me more. 😊Loved them all, but the stick lantern has that rustic sweetness that I adore.
Thank you, C B! I wish I could have found straighter sticks, but my tree only drops crooked ones! 😜
