once i start earning/win some competitions/scholarships ,i will be my pleasure to support you your content is *gold* ,keep up the hard and noble work ,we all will support you
Just went through this the pace is perfect. Having programmed Arduino for 15 years and Unity for 5. I do not feel like you are wasting my time in any way. This is superb stuff. (No sarcasm) This is the best set of tutorials I have met I have not felt the need to rewind once.
I have to say many thanks to you, I'm a beginner, who wanna learning How to dev AI programs in Jetson Nano, and your video like a precious for me. Once again Thanks for did this
Hi Paul, I am one to the guys who have come over from your Arduino lessons. I love the "for absolute beginners" context of these lessons, and would be lost without that the of approach. Thanks again for your wonderful natural teaching style. You wouldn't believe the excitement here when my nano booted up correctly the first time :-)
was tabbed out and i hear "cat"... "scratch" and then all i could think was "fever"... and then you finally implemented that... hilarious... I finally got one of these things to follow along and learn more from ya! keep up the great work, i cant thank you enough for the time and effort and knowledge you have shared! when in terminal up arrow will cycle through the previous cmds so you dont have to type them out, tab will auto complete file and dir names...
Really like the approach you are taking with training i.e start with the fundamentals and build on that, understanding what one is doing on interactively is the best way to learn. Thank you!
Incredible, though you have already taught us Linux operating system elaborately earlier in Raspberry pi...sir u r just doing outstanding work. Thank you.
Hello Paul! Thank you for the 3rd lesson! I need to note that command grep (which provided you some issues in the end of the lesson) worked perfectly in my case (with only exception that I searched for Toyota because had no Audi in my cars list from the beginning). So system showed me the whole listing of Toyota words in my files (6 items overall). But I had ian ssue with command -M when wanted to sort months in calendar order. The result was always as alphabetical sorting. Other sorting commands (e.g. -n) worked correctly . Have no idea what was that.
I gave incorrect information last post on lesson2. I want to correct it. Using 'cd' by itself will not take you back to the 'root directory'. It will take you back to your home directory. Using cd /, will take you to the 'root directory'.
This kind of file manipulation reminds me of batch scripting (which is probably pretty ancient) and more recently, Microsoft's PowerShell, which was actually pretty fun.
When I tried to sort the months in calendar order, it did not work. Until I realized that I have to tip in the german names of our 12 months. Guys, speak to Ubuntu in the language you are originally coming from! Ubuntu loves and respect you.
How would one use this on a robot? What I mean to say is how would they power it ?I used an 18 amphr battery and a power inverter but anything short of that I fear wouldn't be enough .
Ubuntu now features the IoT version available for download on their official website. Is this particular Ubuntu version better for this AI tutorial/project?
I will answer you but am annoyed you asked the question 8 times. That makes you a nuisance. Ask once, and dont spam the comments. Answer to your questoin. A lot of the lessons will work with pi 4 but the more advanced lessons things will be very slow on the pi, and then the later lessons are tailored around NVIDIA software, which will not run on the pi.
You are doing excellent work. Is there any chance you will be going into NVidia Isaac? One area Nvidia is falling short is in walk-through of Isaac for nano. At least setting up and getting started.
Paul McWhorter I am started to play with Isaac quite a bit as it extends the object detection and ROS and gazebo work. I will email you on Patreon and give you more information. What I am finding is a wrestling match of poor documentation and not enough time to invest. I will be at Nvidia RTC this year but I was hoping to have a more complete knowledge by then to focus on advanced topics at the conference.
I played around once with ROS on an expensive turtlebot platform, and really had very poor luck. I was never able to get the system doing what I wanted how I wanted. That was several years ago, and sort of became frustrated and moved on to other areas.
Paul McWhorter I agree it was frustrating a few years ago. I wish someone would put together an ide and a set of service in a better format than ROS. Isaac is a good start and I am sure there are others. Let me know if you are interested and I will send you what I have found so far. In any event the content you have so far and the format is excellent.
Glad your taking it slow. The Lunix cmd line is a much better than the DOS cmd line. Is there away to change attributes if it is every necessary? Really looking forward to learning Python indepth. Have a great weekend.
Please master help me I try to read int from serial monitor in arduino, for example I write 1 number then it's print 1 no. On monitor but after that 0 is print so my led get turn off Immigiatly So what is the problem??
25:50 "They give me cat scratch fever Cat scratch fever" ( ruclips.net/video/I47floRRAFs/видео.html ) Got you, Paul :D Thank you for the great content!

Few actually got that joke. I thought it was good, but went right by most
Thanks! minimal i could send.. 4yrs old, but still relevant. Have an orion coming
Thanks! I really appreciate the support.
Another great lesson done! Thanks for this Paul!
Your way of teaching is the best sir 🔥 🔥 ( slow and steady from the basics and then crack advance codes )
Very good !! Paul is an excellent teacher. I hope he continues to product my videos.
Paul, fantastic work. This is exactly what I need. Thank you for your continued interest in this project.
Thanks. I am having lots of fun with this project. Really excited about this board.
I really need these first playlist items to beef up my Linux newbie commands. Thanks Paul.
Really like the approach you are taking with training i.e start with the fundamentals and build on that, understanding what one is doing on interactively is the best way to learn. Thank you!
You know I do believe I picked up a few new commands over the top of being a great refresher. 👍
Fantastic lesson!! The most wonderful teacher I found on RUclips
Incredible, though you have already taught us Linux operating system elaborately earlier in Raspberry pi...sir u r just doing outstanding work. Thank you.
Really appreciate the production quality in your series. Nice work.
Great info in this video...I too enjoyed some refresher on linux commands.
Thanks Paul for the video doing a project for my Engineering degree and this is going to help me.
Great lesson! Can't wait for the openCV stuff!
Coming soon!
Paul these are great - really looking forward to Python and AI together with the practical application on the pins - this is how I learn

Another great lesson. Thank you Paul
thanks Paul, my kids live in Zimbabwe - third world country. You make them feel like they are in the first world as well.
Can't believe that no one has brought up the use of cat scratch fever!!! I think Ted Nugent's lookin' for you Paul!
Funny that went right by everyone. I thought it was a funny joke but no one caught on.
Yes, the elder of us remember "Cat Scratch Fever". Too bad there isn't a sort parameter that will sort songs in release date. :)
Paul, because of your lessons deployed newest better sound system !
I gave incorrect information last post on lesson2. I want to correct it. Using 'cd' by itself will not take you back to the 'root directory'. It will take you back to your home directory. Using cd /, will take you to the 'root directory'.
Another great video Paul. Thank you!

Thank you very much Paul.
what´s that beeping sound in the background from time to time?
Great video.

still isn't working for me , i live in the netherlands
grep -r honda //works as well w/o ~ or .

thank you paul
Excellent ❤❤❤.

Very good teacher
Can I use raspberry pi 4 for the project since Jetson nano is very expensive

Thanks a lot for answering.
I didn't think you would answer.
You are doing excellent work. Is there any chance you will be going into NVidia Isaac? One area Nvidia is falling short is in walk-through of Isaac for nano. At least setting up and getting started.
For right now I have my hands full with OpenCV, and am not really sure where to go after that. I am not familiar with Isaac at this point.
Paul McWhorter I am started to play with Isaac quite a bit as it extends the object detection and ROS and gazebo work. I will email you on Patreon and give you more information. Paul McWhorter thanks for the quick reply by the way

can you use Jetson Nano in a arcad
Jetson nano lesson1. apt-get update doesn’t update OS. Must also do apt-get upgrade. So your software dependencies may not have been installed.
I like you comment about car time frame buying.
ls | tee >sortDir.txt
thx a lot Paul for these lessons. one word: FANTASTIC!!!
Glad your taking it slow. The Lunix cmd line is a much better than the DOS cmd line. Is there away to change attributes if it is every necessary? Really looking forward to learning Python indepth. Have a great weekend.
if you mean perms on a file, the ability to read write or change, google chmod
what if I haven't got an arduino background ?? please don't assume
Given the fact that commands are quicker than clicking on GUI, then why not use commands only at all time? Why not quit using GUI forever?
Because GUI is self explanatory, Shell is not.
Nice series so far! Too bad the views dropped so much from the first one.
Please master help me
I try to read int from serial monitor in arduino, for example I write 1 number then it's print 1 no. On monitor but after that 0 is print so my led get turn off Immigiatly
So what is the problem??
could be voltage bounce, seek info on pull down or up resistors.
Freaking love it
