Thank you Skipp you are such a blessing to the body of believers. I truly appreciate you for going through the Bible and teaching us with the knowledge God gave you. I find myself being excited to listen to your teaching and finding more pleasure in this, than going on tv or RUclips wich i love to do.

Thanks Pastor Skip - throughout all these battles where Israel destroyed all these armies I was wondering how many of the Israelite warriors were killed, but it’s not mentioned anywhere I can see…? Regarding the judgement of the Canaanites after 400 years, one wonders when God will decide the iniquity of this country is full…

Why did God command them to hamstring the horses, that seems like such a cruel thing to do? And if he wanted them not to rely on the horses, He could’ve just commanded them to not use them in battle or He could’ve hamstrung them himself painlessly

Hello Kyler and thank you for watching our RUclips videos! Perhaps this could be of assistance - www.gotquestions.org/Israelites-hamstring-horses.html
Here is a snippet of the full article
"Before Joshua entered into battle with King Jabin of Hazor, God ordered him to hamstring all the horses that he would capture and burn their chariots with fire (Joshua 11:6-9). There are a few possible reasons why Joshua was given such a command. One is the reason just cited: to prevent the Canaanites from ever using those horses and chariots against Israel in the future."
      Hope this helps!

@@CalvaryABQ I still just don’t understand why God couldn’t hamstring the horses himself and make it painless, what was the point of making the Israelites do it and cause the horses pain?

I came here because of the cruelty in Joshua 11:6,9.
I just want to understand why God crippled and tortured animals versus killing them.
When you hamstring a horse it can't walk. You said it can do farm work etc. It can't even stand up anymore. It can't even urinate or defecate without a painful struggle. It ruins their life and they can't walk, let alone do farm work.
I pray you see this and can help me through this.

I had to stop listening at the animal abuse. I just can’t with the barbaric horse slicing. 😢
