Evan Peters performance not just in this season but in this show in general is just immaculate! And Tate’s and Violet’s chemistry was sooo good in my opinion!!
Evan Peters, like Jessica Lange, hits it out of the ballpark in every one of the seasons he’s in. And to watch these superb actors tackle incredibly different roles each year is fascinating. Master Classes in acting. Matched, of course, by many great others in the cast over the years.
I will never have known the fear and the trauma that comes with school shootings I was homeschooled for the first few years of my life and then I went to an online school so I will never know the fear and the pain people go through when things like this happen
If you liked Evan peters in Dahmer, you would not believe how many characters he had to play in the hotel Cortez season. Mind blowing. I don’t understand why he did not receive awards.
the tate library scene is extra frightening. the shot of his face when he is about to shoot the cheerleader is scary to me every time. it almost doesnt even look like him. ps- yes, morris chestnut (the security guard) has/is/and always will be smokin hot. lol
@ahsuniverseslays9815 it's hardly a spoiler. It doesn't say what happens only that they are connected. All of the seasons are connected in one way or another. Not a spoiler just an interesting fact about the series
Asylum, freak show & hotel!!!!!! You guys HAVE to watch! Tate has ALWAYS been my favorite-Evan peters is an amazing actor! 👏🏼 & Jessica Lange, of course, is a Queen! 👑
If I’m not mistaken, Tate was off in the head, I don’t think it was house. Constance made a comment regarding all of her children having some type of affliction, in one way or another. I could be remembering wrong though.
Also something else occured to me... when Billie Dean is talking to Addie for Constance, Addie said she was glad that she wasn't trapped in the old house with Tate. She said she was afraid of him "now that she knows the truth". The truth is made clear to Addie in Heaven that Tate was not a good person.
I would live there. Get some high-quality exorcists for the more-troublesome ghosts but hang out with the not-horrible ones. I love that house so much; I was fascinated by the fact that it was even used in an episode of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."
I hope y’all will continue on with this show, at least through Hotel and I recommend season 8. It ties into this season beautifully. Jessica Lange was spectacular in this season and the next 3 seasons. It’s worth watching those seasons for her and Evan Peters. He’s spectacular as well! Btw I grew up in rural Alabama and we ate pig brains scrambled with eggs!

@johnj4471 There is another song that bothers my brain in the same way. Have you ever seen the movie "Grandma's Boy"? There is a scene where the character JP (I think that's his name) is in his office listening to music, and my brain ABSOLUTELY HATES THAT SONG. Also, please watch not only this season but also the other seasons because I love these reactions! I discovered your first AHS reaction today and I've binged all 3 in one day hahah
The mom and Dad's story line I never cared about. It was Violet and Tate and Constance and stuff around her and the ghosts. I wrote off the Dad whenever he cheated and I just didn't like him from the start and thought their relationship was doomed and they shouldn't even be trying to make it work.
I dnt get that. I was way more interested in the parents and seeing if they could work it out or even survive. I couldnt connect to violet and constance was amazing I just wanted her 2 win period
The school shooting scene affected me so much the first time I saw it as a teenager… knowing this was a potential reality every time I went to school. Crazy brutal portrayal of a subject like that for network TV. I was always repulsed by people that still had the hots for Tate after that scene. Idc how you feel about guns, but school shooters are subhuman and should never, ever be considered hot.
It’s a fictitious show. It’s not that deep. If you watch this show alot then you understand that sometimes we root for the bad guys or the monsters over other bad guys and monsters. We’re allowed to indulge “what if” scenarios that we would never entertain in real life. That’s what I think anyway.
@@kellifranklin9872 nah fam, sorry but finding out someone brutally shot up his school should be a turn off. Yes it’s a fictional show, and we’re talking about the overwhelming adoration for TATE the fictional character, not for Evan Peters. I couldn’t go on tumblr for 5 minutes without seeing people my age gush over Tate and that’s really, really weird to me. It’s like the women who write Chris Watts in jail. Weirdo behavior.
@@Wraiven22 I get that and I understand your point of view clearly. It’s always been fascinating to me that serial killers in prison and high profile murderers have such huge followings. It really has to do with Evan Peters being so good looking and charismatic. I had a terrible crush on Kilgrave in season one of Jessica Jones even though he’s a monster and one of the most evil villains in the Marvel universe. It was because he was played by David Tennant. It would be easier for us mere mortals if villains were played by unattractive actors but that’s never going to happen I guess. Lol

So curious if anyone else has this opinion. But could this season this episode specifically still be done in the same way given where america has been with mass killings and such. Cuz there scenes from this that have to be horrid for some people.
I swore this show came on right after a mass shooting I think it was the movie theater 1. I mean we have had mass shootings in mass since like the early 80s I think the first 1 was the 1 in texas in like the 40s. It's no different then showing a terrorist attack honestly. It will trigger some ppl but as long as theirs a warning it wouldnt matter. They still show human trafficking after we have had so many cases in the last 2 years

Disagree with you on Ben and Viv. I find their marital strife extremely authentic and the actors Dylan McDermott and Connie Britton are killing it. Also Taissa Farmiga as Violet is a very realistic portrayal of a rebellious, angsty teenager. I also like a lot of the supporting characters like Chad, Hayden, and Addie. The various familial and relationship issues are more relatable and intriguing to me than a psycho school shooter. I admire Evan Peters acting, but Tate doesn’t remotely carry Season 1 for me. And Jessica Lange is superb, but I think the entire ensemble cast is awesome and making Season 1 memorable, not just two characters.
Yeah. Ben went about his loneliness and grief the wrong way, yet Vivian isn't getting any hate? She couldn't tell that that wasn't her husband? I could be in a dark room and tell if it was my wife or not. *not a spoiler* Ben was downstairs having alone time, so you know it wasn't him.
I mean it’s pretty normal to assume that if a man in a rubber suit came into your room and wanted to bone that it is almost certainly your live-in husband lmao not a lot of couples with a healthy sec life would immediately jump to “this is an intruder”.
Honestly, I just really liked the acting for ALL the characters in Season 1 and am disappointed how they just dismiss Ben and Viv as if they aren't important to the story. Like, Connie Britton actually got an Emmy nomination for Lead Actress and also Dylan McDermott deserved a Lead Actor nod, imo. I feel like Ben and Viv's broken marriage plot is very realistic and entertaining due to very authentic acting and chemistry between the actors. For me, Season 1 is a drama series about familial strife, shaky relationships, psychologically damaged people, and societal tragedies that just happens to be presented in the context of a horror show.
Evan Peters performance not just in this season but in this show in general is just immaculate! And Tate’s and Violet’s chemistry was sooo good in my opinion!!
He was so good he nearly traumatized himself after cult and had to take a break from the show of no acting in general to get his mind right.
