Abstract:
In this bassoon class, Professor Marco Postinghel explains that Romanzen are associated with a text, so the student has to tell a story and not playing all the notes the same. Postinghel recommends on waiting and feeling the piano harmonies without rushing, making pauses. He insists on this throughout the class, making indications about the phrasing, articulation and duration of the notes, dynamics, tempo and rubato, appoggiaturas and the importance of the notes depending on the harmony and character, etc.
