      @@steveg5864 oh, convertor clutch solenoid switch. It takes a negative voltage to lock it up, except in first. On the multi plug near your right knee, the top 2nd from the right is a test port for the converter solenoid. I think. Just supply a gound there.

    My buddy owned it since new 20,000km never driven in Rain it's flawless 3:42 gears kicks in at 2500 rpm. 355lbs of torque stock at 245HP which GM stated the HP may even be wrong as this was faster than an 87 vette back in the day...been around these cars for years ...I would of bought one but hard to find a good one so I bought a Nissan GTR instead which I am happy with that's probably the only 2 turbo cars worth getting.

    You need the Holley 12.3 inch dash just installed it on my GN gets rid of all those gauges. Just went 8.63@ 161 at Bowling Green nationals

    • @ttype01
      @ttype01  5 месяцев назад

      @user-zy5vg9pe3e Congrats on your time, the dash is on the list at some point in the near future. But even with it, the boost, oil pressure, and water temp gauges will stay. Those are mechanical, and will verify that the dash is working correctly as a point of reference. The big tach and the shift light on the column will definitely be removed. I'm not interested in retaining the factory look inside the car, the rim and tire package kinda defeated that purpose.

      @ttype01 still looks good. It was a big project taking the old harness out and replacing with new one and getting all the wiring to work correctly.

    • @ttype01
      @ttype01  5 месяцев назад +2

      @@HanzGruber-j1v@user-zy5vg9pe3e agreed. I re wired this car and started from scratch with this system. The engine harness is custom and enters the engine compartment under the intake with a 47 pin bulkhead connector. The harness can come out with the engine on motor changes.

    • @HanzGruber-j1v
      @HanzGruber-j1v 5 месяцев назад +1

      @ttype01 that's probably what I should have done. I got the harness from caspers and bought a holley dominator computer. The amount of money I spent on this car is unreal. But I knew it was gonna be expensive been doing this since 87 starting with Duttweiler. And just had TA performance build my motor 2 years ago. All my friends telling me to just put a LSX motor in it. But it's cool to run 8s with a v6 motor.

    • @luckymanham302
      @luckymanham302 5 месяцев назад

      @@HanzGruber-j1vhell yeah! Keep it the turbo v6. There is something extremely satisfying about running 8’s with 2 less cyl than damn near everyone else.

      @@warpspeeed6345 Out of curiosity. What switch are you referring to? I don't have any switches in the interior to turn off or on aside from the light switch.

    • @warpspeeed6345
      @warpspeeed6345 17 дней назад

      @@ttype01 the converter solenoid for lockup. It has permanent 12v positive, and needs a negative 12v to lockup...the test port is the multi port diagnostic port under the dash by your right knee. The top row of the multi port, 2nd from the right , I think, is the test port for said solenoid. Simply supplying it a ground voltage will lock the converter...except in 1st.. I use a switch..If you touch the brakes, it disables it. I'd give it 2tenths in the quarter on a stock car.😔
