@@chrispy_baecon probably. It's a great little device that can run and emulate most games you'll be playing at acceptable results while having better screen, speakers and build quality/comfort over the alternatives at its price point. Only the Ally X is reasonably better but being more than double the price reverses the original narrative ironically enough. I picked a U7 up brand new bundled with the dock, 100w charger and accessory kit for $400.
Valve is selling refurbished 512gb steamdeck LCD models for just $359 USD. This puts modern handheld computer gaming in the grasp of a lot of budget gamers. Adjusted for inflation that's near identical to the cost of the Sega Gamegear when it first released 😁
Steam deck can’t run lossless scaling. There is almost no words to describe the revolutionary nature of this app. With lossless scaling you can run probably 80% of all pc games with a 4x frame generation. Meaning that if the game is running at 30 fps, lossless scaling will cause that game to run at 120 fps. This applies to almost every single pc game. But only if it’s running windows.
Some games might require so many resources due to poor optimization that maybe you can only double its frame rate & you will get graphical errors at 4x frames, but I downloaded 50 games from game pass just to test and all 50 of them ran at 4x, meaning all 50 were running at 120 fps or higher using lossless scaling. All 50 of them. Including Starfield. lool.
Got one with U5 135H in China for CNY 2999 (400 ish USD), I think at this price the Claw is impeccable in terms of build quality and peripherals. But at $700 it really cannot persuade people to pull the trigger, especially considering the ROG Ally is often on sale at less than $600 in the states.
It’s just sad that one of these handheld’s requires so many hours worth of updates before it’s usable. My steam deck was ready after a quick update. That’s why the steam deck is still my favorite handheld along side the Nintendo switch.
i just got one for 300 cheaper then any rog ally i could find with the Z1 extreme. After all updates and some little tweaks its fantastic i do not watch frames boot up a game and play and its great
in my country this goes on sale for like 400$. im looking to replacing my current jurassic pc (athlon x4 870k, gtx 1050) to this and be my main pc when docked and also play while in my bed and by watching this, you convinced me. i will be getting the ultra 5 since most reviews that i seen, the ultra 5 has better performance than the high tier one
Now I figured why my msi claw took shyt the 3rd day after purchase, I used it to run the black myth wukong, never have a singular game running smooth, absolutely terrible experience with claw, thanks to the Intel base.
And they were running a sale recently, getting one one sale and used would be awesome. I feel like in 3 years or so we will have so many choices of one or two gen old devices like this for dirt cheap.
I don't know if you realized it when you were talking about all the companies releasing machines you put Lenovo in there like saying they're going to be releasing machines , I'm sure you realize that the legion go is Lenovo right? came out almost a year ago.
I’m getting a Ultra 7-155H on sale and I’m so excited

Half price absolutely, it’s a windows laptop playing AAA on medium I really enjoyed my time with it and would buy it myself for $500 anytime.
