I had a HT Monaro GTS same colour but a 307 with power glide and white interior and it is the biggest regret in my life selling it in 1980. :-(. Love your cars mate your a lucky man thanks for sharing.
That's a beautiful collection Barry has. And that stunning 186 Premier goes to show it doesn't always have to be about how fast you can go...but how you get there. Another brilliant episode Glenn.
I had a ride in a yellow and black 327 Monaro in about 1980. It belonged to a mate of mines older brother. Boy I'll never forget the acceleration. I was sucked into the seat like a jet fighter taking off!
Love these segments Glenn, love the cars of 60’s and 70’s. Had a 68 GTS 186s 4 speed in silver with black interior as a 17yo in 1973. It was a low mile vehicle in great condition and I took great care of it. Seeing these vehicles in great condition evoke great memories. Thanks for sharing them

@@lonewarrior1543 , when we start production again for 2021 that's the plan! @@GlennEverittMasterofMachines Thanks Glenn....yeah that 427 on a cold start...in that hall...the acousics would have been perfect....wish you millions of views!
That premier is awesome. I had a genuine HT Premier wagon with factory GTS dash, centre consul, guards and front brakes. 308 and saginaw that was also Silver Mink. Same preimer interior as this one only in bucksin. It was so comfortable. I sold it to a neighbours son in 1995 and he put it around a telegraph pole with his mates in the car. It went to a wreckers in Wollongong NSW never to be seen again. It would of been a very rare car today.
I love the Aussie classics, the Premier and Monaco etc., but just seeing interior of the Mercury Cougar and I cant help noticing immediately how much more luxurious and premium it looks with those plump seats and the dash and general interior as well as the outside contours. It looks like a Rolls compared to the Holdens. We had pretty pedestrian cars through the 60s and 70s, that’s for sure. The HK color is cool. And same for that HT Monaro in olive with the brass stripes.
I had a light green HG Kingswood sedan. It was only a 186 manual 3 on tree. I wanted to put a four speed into it as I hated column manuals. I also wanted to work the engine over a bit, but never got around to it. I later got a VK Commodore wagon with six cylinder carb engine. It had a dreadful pinging problem, and the Trimatic played up badly. That green Monaro is the nicest car in the collection.........you owe your mate a lot of cases of 🍺 beer! 😃👍
Seeing the HT Monaro,I had a HK 3274 speed met blue, white interior, Vinyl roof etc It was in mint condition and worth serious $$ on todays market I had Augner alloys on it later on,but a house came along and it had to go🧐
I wonder how much that Holden Premier has in common with our U.S. GM A body sedans from the late 60s, like the Oldsmobile Cutlass and the Chevelle Malibu. They look definitely related! American here, big fan of Australian cars!
Had a Monaro just like that green one and with the gold stripes - GTS 350 Powerglide. Lovely to drive and tons of grunt. Needed power steering bad. Sold it in 1975 for $1900.00 - who knew ??

Love this model it always reminds me of "Matlock Police". Those were the days, remember how exciting it was when a new model came out.
