Thank you for this video💖...i was really wanting to know what would be able to connect with the version complete. My Best guess was japanese only, so this is awsome!!⭐
12:04 is my third favourite because it would be cool because my first fav digivice vs my 2nd fav digivice (1st favourite digivice d2, 2nd favourite d3 digivice) and it would look cool if it was In the anime anyway cya
I actually think the original D2 doesn't have Pendulum Rules, the only way it connected to the original pendulum is that the OG Pendulum seen D2 as a 1997 Vpet.
@@Xanaxdu My guess is that the OG Pendulum rules on the 20th is only the OG Pendulum rules and you manually have to select Other, for the Vpet System instead of the Pendulum automatically determining the battle style.
The Neo can't connect because it doesn't have the DMOG mode, unlike pretty much every other US/Asia device. The Japanese Digivice is DMOG only, I wonder if it's because the original had no ultimates or virus types. Also, for some reason new devices don't work with the D-Gather or Pendulum Cycle even though they have DMOG mode, may have something to do with voltages.
I've only wanted 2 digivices and that's the first two gens. Davis and Matt. Cant even find them anymore for a reasonable price since everyone's holding it for like $500++
I was actually curious about the differences between the Ver.Complete and Ver.15 I know ver.complete has like 80 digimon options, but I was more interested in the general differences. Like are they basically the same game with Complete having more Digimon or were there fundamental differences?
The complete adds the dark evolution line for agumon and Gambumom. And their kizuna evolutions. They also have story maps for kizuna and it also omits jesmon
Okay, so I'm not missing out on too much for choosing a preferred style. I had a Tai digivice growing up, and I've been eyeing the ver.15 like a hawk. But nowhere else was giving me a direct answer on what the differences were. Thank you for the response, man. It means a lot. Hell, it's worth a sub and a likr
It's really interesting that the Ver. Complete is compatible with the English D-Tector because I just tested it with the Japanese D-Scanner and the D-Scanner keeps giving an error message. I made sure to set it to "other" and it just doesn't want to work. Weird.
The way a lot of devices are compatible with each other is super weird. Some devices that should just work don't and the most random things connect sometimes lol
@@Xanaxdu genuinely didn't expect a reply on a two year old vid lol love your channel man! And yeah I'm fairly disappointed with the wonky compatibility but overall I'm just happy to finally have an original Digivice. Glad to know the ver complete was your first d-2 as well.
From what I figure, each device is trying to compare its data with the other device and decide on a winner. However, Pendulum data, Original data and Digivice data all have different conditions, like shake counts and sometimes mid-battle evolutions. For an example I'll make something up. Gabumon(Device1): 2 15 33 7 81 9 23 Gabumon(Device2): 4 23 7 14 This isn't even close to accurate, but basically Device 1 sends a lot more complex data that Device 2 isn't expecting, and Device 2 is sending simpler data, meaning that Device 1 thinks that something is missing. Certain devices like the Pendulum can usually send alternate data for the Original so that it comprehends. In my example it means that Device 1 will send a simpler code so that Device 2 will be able to understand. Depending on the year they came out, they are built to be compatible with different things, sort of like how a console is usually designed to also play previous generation games. So the Pendulums were designed to connect with the OG pets by sending OG data, but OG pets cannot send pendulum data. At the same time, Digivices are usually programmed to be compatible with whatever virtual pet is running alongside it. So the Adventure Digivice is compatible with the Original while the D-Ark is compatible with the Pendulum. Because of this, the Original has no way of connecting with a D-ark since the Original can't read D-ark data or Pendulum data, but the Adventure Digivice can connect with a Pendulum since both can read Original Data. Notice in the video that the Digivice can't read Pendulum Data but it can read "other" Data. "Other" essentially means it's sending Data that the original can read, and if the original can read it then so can the Digivice. As for Japanese and American releases I'm pretty sure they use pretty much the same codes so they should be compatible with each other most of the time. However like you see in this video the Digimon NEO is incredibly picky about what it connects to XD Hopefully that somewhat helps. It's still cool that some devices never intended to connect to each other are still able to just fine.
sad to see that the d-ark ultimate doesn't connect. I just found mine that I bought years ago and forgot about. Is there any way you can do a guide on the D-Ark Ultimate? I am struggling with the Japanese and I have yet to find a good guide.

I'm shocked because I had no idea how much there was, and I've been a digimon fan for a while! That patamon is crazy

Glad it was helpful! I was pretty surprised!
You would think a digivice with a "pendulum" in it would work with pendulums normally. Huh guess gabumon hates being shaken around.
Really surprised ngl lol
Gabumon killing your mega is such an anime thing to happen.
Man I wish I still had my d3 device
24:46 my only digivice/v-pet expect it is blue and green

I’m for sure going to get an ips modded wonderswan so I can play all the digimon games for it
Fascinating ! That's mean people who will fight in tournament against a D-ark will able to "win" ?

How does the cross compatability work ?

There's no difference between the eng and jp versions so it will work with either
