Why is it that I weirdly like the Alter Ego dupes of palettes like this one and the Retro Glam but am not interested at all in the ND version? I really can’t believe that is is as simple as rearranging the colors in a more orderly fashion yet here I am considering a pastel palette when I ordinarily would not. Thanks Alex for the comparisons. It really helps to calm me down and realize what I may already have filling the same or adjacent niche. I would not buy the full price versions because I use pastels for maybe one or two weeks at most in the spring and then I’m over them. 😂

Love seeing all the pastels! It so reminds me of spring and flowers! It’s a beautiful day full of sunshine here and while I’m catching up on videos, I am rearranging my make up to see what I can pull out to use this week! And to show me there is nothing I need! Lol!

This palette is pretty much an exact dupe for a Natasha Denona palette that was recently discontinued.
I like that these aren't highly pigmented, but still colorful. Great for the sunny months.

Me too! I think I am going to buy it, but I'm waiting to see what the next palette is in case I want that one too. I haven't tried Blend Bunny yet, but I like all of her stuff. I narrowed down to probably just get Sickly Sweet because my Natasha Denona Pastel palette needs a replacement. It's super hard to work with due to a lot of hard pans!
@@SarahSmilez8100That’s sad about your ND palette. I have the Dollhouse palette since I already have loads of color shades. It is a really nice buildable formula.
I own the BH Los Angeles palette which I still haven’t ever used 🤦🏻♀️ so I am resisting more pastels. I almost purchased the Nomad Tokyo palette but now it’s sold out 😢. Maybe for the better. I have to keep reminding myself there will always be more palettes 😅
I also own it and i majorly regret it. Most of the shades are a little too dark on me to be called a pastel. For me its just a rainbow palette 😅
A counter point here: I honestly don’t gravitate to pastels yet I really like the Lost in Los Angeles palette. I think if pastels aren’t your thing and you want something just slightly deeper for spring it’s a good one. Again, it comes down to personal preference.
Pastels have never caught my attention like that so I am not tempted. Yes use it first before you get anything else to see if you even like pastels

The blend bunny pastel palette looks to have a better formula for the mattes and shimmers than the other pastel palettes I’ve seen, but I already have the Nomad Tokyo palette, and I rarely wear pastels. This palette looks better than ND just because I’ve heard her formula for that palette was not up to par with her other palettes (I have several and most I highly recommend).
I wasn’t aware of that issue with the pastel. It never caught my attention so it didn’t get my attention 😂
These comparisons are all so helpful. I already own the Glamlite Ice Cream palette and the Nomad Tokyo palette. Two other palettes that I own and I believe are similar enough are BH cosmetics Lost in Los Angeles and Colourpop Winx Club collab Just Like Magix. I wanted to snag the Alter Ego palette when I saw the announcement on IG, but now I think I'll pass.

Do you feel like their cream to powder has gotten better at all? I like alter ego a lot but I’ve never found it easy to use those shades unless I used my fingers

I don't wear pastels, yet i own so many already including ND, the juvias and nomad, plus probably 4 more😂 but the palette from alter ego is stunning and i think it would make a great companion palette. I'm on a no buy so i will skip. I appreciate the work you put into these swatches and videos
